Placing the great danger at the end, and the two water pegs placed at the end. Placing the great danger at the end, and the two water pegs placed at the end. (ཕ). Placing the great danger at the end, and the two water pegs placed at the end reside here. Na (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning): nama, नमः, namaḥ, Homage! Tā (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning): tā, ता, tā, That! Ye (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning): ye, ये, ye, Plural!. I prostrate to the assembly of the Great Mother Dakinis. I write a clear exposition of the practice of placing the end of Chöd. May the Dakini Dharma Lords grant their blessings. Furthermore, the yogi who dwells in the mountains, on a night when the three impurities are mixed, in order to place the body's demons in a place, should perform this silent act. As it is said, if one is sick or for the sake of the sick, after doing a few nights of Chöd practice, if the outer impurity shows rough signs of gods and demons, the inner impurity makes the patient weaker, the secret impurity increases afflictions, and the dream omens of the place demons and body demons become more severe, then this should be done. If it is done without the appearance of impurities, it will not be beneficial. If impurities appear but it is not done, it will not be possible to cut through, therefore, it is very important to determine the boundary. In terms of the method of arrangement, if the patient's condition is serious, use juniper or fir or wooden eyes, etc., and bind it according to the patient's height. In between, put in something soaked in the patient's bathwater, and put in a hundred strands of the patient's hair or the number of years of age. If there are any, put in as much meat and bones as can be found. Make a mask of dough or mud that resembles the patient's head. Wrap and bind the body with one of the patient's old clothes, making it like a corpse. Place it on top of a similar effigy. If that much cannot be done, then arrange for the length of an arrow or the length of an elbow. If that is still not possible, make a handspan high with the patient's bathwater, wrap it with a strip of cloth, and place it on top of an image similar to the effigy. Place it in any container, and finally circle it with the number of years of age or twenty-one times with dregs of alcohol. Also put in pieces of meat, bones, and the patient's hair and nails. Whatever is done, place the vajra of the Chöd practitioner on top of it. Then, if the madman or patient can walk, go to a cemetery or a dangerous place in the evening. If you cannot go too far, do it at the edge of a rock in that village, or at a marked boulder, or at a crossroads, or at a place where many doors gather, or at a place where many people gather, or at a women's gathering place. If you still do not want to go there, or if the patient has difficulty walking, do it on the roof of the house, in a place where you can see a lake or a dangerous mountain. Or at the base of the main door of that house, or at the base of the threshold of the inner door, or at the door.
