In the past, Shakyamuni, the Great Sage, after generating the mind for supreme Bodhi, practiced the six perfections for three countless eons, I pray to that practitioner. The supreme wish-fulfilling jewel limb, flesh and blood and the entire body, without regret, he gave away, I pray to that hero. He who cherishes discipline more than life, patience and diligence are incomparable, likewise, he perfected the ten perfections, I pray to that hero. He descended from the gods and entered the womb, was born and played with the arts, renounced and spontaneously practiced austerities, I pray to that Victorious One. He conquered the demons, attained enlightenment, turned the wheel of Dharma, passed into Nirvana, his relics spread, and his teachings remained for five thousand years, I pray to that Great Sage. The Pandit prophesied by the Victorious One, the other shore of all the accomplished ones, named Mati Citra, I pray to that hero. His incarnation is very famous, with miraculous displays in one night, he composed the complete Jataka tales, I pray to the self-born Lord. His undisputed rebirth, the crown jewel of beings including gods, named Choying Dorje, I pray to the kind Lord. By the blessings of this prayer, when I pass away from this life, may I be born in Sukhavati, and may I be blessed to attain the ten bhumis. Having attained the ten bhumis, in the ten directions, may I fill all the realms with emanations, just like the Jataka tales of Shakya, may I be blessed to benefit others. With a vajra-like constant end, may I instantly manifest enlightenment, and having turned the supreme wheel of Dharma, may I be blessed to liberate all beings. This was written in Za Dam Monastery by the Sixth Shamarpa on the day of the hundred offerings to the Gyalwa Rinpoche, together with the monks of the monastery, in the Lord's own encampment.

Having offered a red hat adorned with pearls, and presented a letter of offering, (requesting) that Daymaker Lingpa be regarded with compassion, this was done three times, and a great offering was made. Many loose-tongued monks gossiped, saying, "The Red Hat Lama's wish will be fulfilled today." At that time, it seemed that his lifespan would be extended because his wish was fulfilled, but immediately there was a loud thunderclap, and hail and a red wind stirred. Immediately after that, he suddenly fell ill and passed away. All the old monks said, "This year is very inauspicious." However, after hearing the longevity prayer from Gyalwa Rinpoche, they gathered a lot of tsampa and tea that night, like holding a feast, to pray. The next morning, his health recovered, and he lived for three years. Later, at that time, they offered countless offerings, mainly white coral, to Gyalwa Rinpoche, and invited him to ascend the great throne. The Lama himself sat on the throne spread with a single cushion, and in response to the request to turn the wheel of Dharma, he recited one chapter of the Jataka Tales. He seemed a little shy and read with difficulty. The abbot and khenpo said that this was an indication that the master still needed to live, but could not bear the burden of the teachings. The old monks said so, and it seemed that it was indeed so. Later, remembering these things, I made this prayer. ༈. Prayer to the lineage masters of the Pratimoksha Sutra: Namo Shakyamuniye. (藏文：ན་མོ་ཤཱཀྱ་མུ་ན་ཡེ།，梵文天城体：नमो शाक्य मुनये，梵文罗马拟音：Namo Shakya Munaye，汉语字面意思：Homage to Shakyamuni). The Jambu River, golden in color. The light of compassion, spreading to all beings. A body with perfect marks and complete features. Victorious Sun, I pray to you. The mandala of wisdom and compassion, completely filled. A white halo of pure compassion surrounds. The wise and accomplished ones, shining like stars in the center. At the feet of the Dharmadhatu Vajra, I pray. The three trainings, filled with many jewels. The waves of scripture and reasoning, rippling within. A place where the wisdom and faith of those who desire liberation gather. The ocean of the Sangha, I pray to you. By the blessings of such prayers, Even for the sake of life, the four root vows will not be abandoned. May you be blessed without being stained by defeat.
