It is an old and decrepit person. It doesn't eat or drink, it is a burden to the guests. It cannot not go, it is an obstacle to siblings. It cannot not be shot, it is an arrow on the battlefield. It cannot not be sent, it is the substitute of dusk. Alas! These nine kinds of substitutes. I, the shaman, send them away with truthful words. I send them away with the power of beautiful voice and drums. I send them away with the power of meditative ability. Go now, substitute, go now. Alas! The substitutes of various wild animals. Run, go swiftly now! The substitutes of various domestic animals. Run, go in flocks now! The substitutes with fangs. Run, go fiercely now! Go to the enemy's land now! The substitutes of skulls and bones. Run slowly like pottery now! Dharma, Dharma, substitute, now red Dharma. Run, run, substitute, now red Dharma. Go, go, substitute, now red Dharma. Go to the ranks of large and small valleys. Go over the large and small mountain ridges. Go with the wind and hail. Go along the path of dawn. Climb into the blue water.
