When giving the condensed empowerment, also contemplate in your mind the visualizations of the extensive practice. Thus, it is best to give it one hundred and eight times, moderately according to the number of years, and at least thirteen times, etc. When giving the empowerment, if you develop a firm conviction without any doubt in the blessings of the Great Compassionate One and the benefits of pacifying feverish diseases as explained in the sutras and tantras above, then there is no doubt that feverish diseases will be pacified. It is said that even a slight doubt will not produce benefits, so it is very important for both the lama and the disciple to have a firm conviction without any doubt. This passage is the root text of the mind treasure, and because the Vajra words are difficult to understand, Raga Asya has clarified them.
