PHAṬ! Then arrange all the offerings. Oṃ Vajra Amṛta, etc. Purify with Svabhāva. From emptiness, from Oṃ, in a vessel made of precious jewels, arrange offering water, foot washing water, flowers, incense, lamps, perfume, food, and music, transforming them into a cloud of offerings like that of the noble Samantabhadra. Oṃ Vajradharmāraṇitaprarāṇita, Saṃprāraṇita, Sarvabuddhakṣetrapraçaliti, Prajñāpāramitānādasaṃbhava Vajradharma Hṛdaya Santoṣa Ni Hūṃ Hūṃ Hūṃ Ho Ho Ho! Akhaṃ Svāhā. Bless in this way. Then, Oṃ Svabhāva purify. From emptiness, gather all the essence of the three realms and the three existences, on a lion throne, visualize the noble Avalokiteśvara, the Lord of the World, in the form of Siṃhanāda, white in color, with one face and four arms. The right hands hold a trident and a sword, the left hands hold a lotus and an utpala flower, the hair is tied in a topknot, the body is adorned with precious jewels, all limbs are adorned with snakes, appearing but with a nature of emptiness. At the crown of the head is Oṃ, at the throat is Āḥ, at the heart is Hūṃ, and from the Hūṃ at the heart, light radiates, inviting from Potala the noble Avalokiteśvara Siṃhanāda, surrounded by the eight great nāgas, Vajrasamāyaja jaḥ! Again, from the Hūṃ at the heart, light radiates, inviting the five families of initiation deities with their retinues, Vajrasamāja! I beseech all the Tathāgatas to bestow upon me the complete initiation. Having thus prayed, the initiation deities recite: Oṃ Vajrabhava Abhiṣiñca Hūṃ! Having spoken thus and bestowed the initiation, the body is filled, all impurities and remaining water overflow upwards, the head is adorned by Amitābha and Mañjuśrī. Rays of light emanated, touching the body of the Lord of the World, causing a stream of wisdom nectar to flow, filling the vase. Then comes the praise: ཧི༔ (Tibetan: ཧི༔, Devanagari: हि, Romanized Sanskrit: hi, Literal Chinese meaning: Hey!). Through the power of compassion, you benefit sentient beings, abandoned by your own friends, you remain alone, binding the hosts of nagas and demons. Praise to the Lord of the World, Lion's Roar. Thus, praise. Then, to bathe the one to be protected: Place the number of calamus roots or whatever is available in a bowl or container, and then wash the hands and feet of those to be protected over it. ཧཱུྃ། (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum!).
