Although there are many histories of the disturbance of the earth lords, because many methods of correction have been spoken, I will briefly write a concise history of disturbance correction. I request permission from the incarnations of Manjushri. The perfectly complete Buddha, Shakyamuni, since China could not be subdued by the ultimate truth of Dharma, Manjushri incarnated with the intention to subdue them with conventional calculation. He spoke of twenty-one thousand doors of calculation, and performed inconceivable calculations of fate and death. Since the truth of Dharma was not seen, with the intention to see the truth of conventionality, all the examples of calculation were mixed and placed in a gau (amulet box) and hidden as treasure. Due to that fault, all sentient beings and all the kingdoms of China experienced nine kinds of inauspiciousness, short lives, bad harvests, hail, famine, evil people, and diseases, spreading like plagues, making the kingdom uneasy, and China was on the verge of destruction. At that time, the Buddha observed with the eye of wisdom, and incarnated into five forms, including the Kongtse Trulgyal (Kongzi, the magical king). In particular, Kongzi incarnated into five lineages, performing conventional and ultimate truths, calculation, medicine, and offering rituals. Especially, Manjushri prophesied Avalokiteshvara, urged the great master Padmasambhava of Oddiyana, to incarnate as the four-faced Brahma and go to China. He extracted all the treasures that Manjushri had previously hidden as treasures, and the retinue gathered by Kongtse Trulgyal, the goddess, Namgyal, and the Naga Joyful, made requests. The kingdom of China was subdued by the truth of conventionality. It is said that in the tantras and oral instructions of China, whatever is called Brahma is Oddiyana. When a corpse is placed in the mouth of a Hal dog, there are three hundred and sixty methods of correction. When a bride is bitten by the mouth and tail of a celestial dog, there are three thousand six hundred methods of correction. The Hwashang (Chinese monk) performed white earth lord offering and correction, and the black Hwashang composed many black offerings.
