Please remember the vows! Quickly send down great and continuous rain. By the truth of those Buddhas spoken of in the Great Cloud Sutra, May the suffering, disease, and harm of all Naga races be cut off, May the Nagas be happy and joyful. By the compassion, aspiration, and truth of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas residing in the ten directions and three times, And by the power of the pure nature of reality, May great rain quickly fall! By the immeasurable wisdom of Manjushri, And the immeasurable power and strength of Vajrapani, And the immeasurable compassion of Avalokiteshvara, By the power of immeasurable truth, May a great stream of rain quickly descend! If the Arhat's exhaustion of afflictions is true, And the Pratyekabuddha's realization of dependent origination is true, By that truth, send down great rain. If Indra's vajra in his hand, And Vishnu's wheel in his hand, And the tips of the spears in the hands of the wrathful ones, If they truly possess power, By that truth, send down great rain. If suffering is true and origination is true, If cessation is true and the path is true, By the truth, may great rain fall! All the gods and demons of appearance and existence, If Vajrapani and Hayagriva abide by their vows, By the truth of their vows, send down a stream of rain. If the Garuda overcomes the ocean, And jewels produce desired objects, And the sun and moon dispel darkness are true, By the truth, may a great stream of rain descend! If the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha are true, If the secret mantra, knowledge mantra, and dharani mantra are true, If the heart mantra and mudra are true, If the Lama, Yidam, and Dakini are true, If the ground, path, and fruition are true, If the Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya, and Nirmanakaya are true, If cause and effect are infallibly true, If all these are definitely true, By the truth, quickly send down great rain! If all the Nagas are powerful, Possess color and light, Have great wealth and power, If it is true, by the truth, send down great rain.
