Since both the empowerment and transmission are received from the omniscient Sixth Jetsun, the blessings are great. As for Jetsun Zhwa-mar-pa, it is said that his mind-stream is the same as Khenpo Bodhisattva and Jowo-je, so he is also a holder of the lineage. First, the detailed method of preparation is: In the center, make a square platform like a mandala stand, about one fathom in size. On the mandala, draw an eight-petaled lotus with pigments or colored powders. Behind it are sixteen petals. Behind that are twenty-five petals. Behind that, draw four dots. If the mandala can be drawn completely, there is no need to draw the world wheel, surroundings, charnel grounds, etc. Draw a lotus fence, a stone wall, and a fire mountain. If it is not possible to draw it completely, it is said that a circle is sufficient. On the table in the center of the mandala, place the two scriptures written in gold, and cover them with five-colored silk garments. If there are gold statues of the Eight Sugatas on the eight petals, place them. If not, place gold statues of Medicine Buddha or Shakyamuni Buddha in those seven places. Above it, hang chakras and umbrellas similar to the peaceful and wrathful deities, including the lineage of gurus, equal to the number of deities. Finally, surround it with offerings, incense, lamps, food, etc., equal to the number of deities. Place four victory banners in the four corners. Weave colored threads into a net. Hang an umbrella above. In addition, extensively arrange banners, musical instruments, thangkas and pennants, fried flour tormas, incense, etc. The medium way is: Lay out the mandala and surround it with as many offerings as possible. Above it, display a large thangka of the complete Medicine Buddha main deity and retinue. The simplest way is: On the mandala, arrange heaps of barley or rice equal to the number of deities. Above it, display the Medicine Buddha statue. In front of it, arrange eight food offerings, eight lamps, and eight cups of water, which is the custom of the monastery. If it is very simple, then arrange nine heaps of barley on the mandala, which is the mandala. In front of it, arrange one set of the five offerings. Furthermore, if it is in the mountains, etc., then draw a mandala on paper, an eight-petaled lotus, behind it sixteen petals, behind it twenty-five petals, and behind it draw a circle. Food offerings or round tormas, without mixing meat and alcohol, are arranged in a torma box. It is sufficient to arrange only barley and water in seven bowls. If there is no condition to continuously offer lamps, then arrange one lamp and leave it. If it is a novice or a fully ordained monk, etc., then that is sufficient. Otherwise, it is necessary to keep the fasting vows, bathe and cleanse. Meat and alcohol, except for the tsok offerings, need to be consumed outside. Whatever arises dependently, etc.
