The Great Mother Prajñāpāramitā in One Hundred Thousand Verses The Great Mother Prajñāpāramitā in One Hundred Thousand Verses The Great Mother Prajñāpāramitā in One Hundred Thousand Verses is present here. Namo Prajñāpāramitāye. Homage to the Perfection of Wisdom) This great mother, the Prajñāpāramitā, is present, pervading all of saṃsāra and nirvāṇa like the sky. The four noble ones—the Śrāvaka noble ones, the Pratyekabuddha noble ones, the Bodhisattva noble ones, and the Buddha noble ones—are all born from the great mother, the Śer Phyin, and are therefore called "mother." In the very beginning, when there was no distinction between Buddhas and sentient beings, Kuntuzangpo realized the meaning of the mother from the beginning and became a Buddha. All sentient beings, not realizing the meaning of the mother, wandered in saṃsāra. Then, Kuntuzangpo, in order to lead all sentient beings who wander in saṃsāra out of saṃsāra, from the emptiness of the Dharmakāya, manifested the form of Vajradhara in Akanishta and taught the meaning of the mother to the Bodhisattvas up to the eleventh bhūmi. That great Vajradhara also emanated as the Sambhogakāya Vairochana Gangchen Tso Gyal and taught the meaning of the mother to the Bodhisattvas up to the eighth bhūmi. From the four wisdoms of that Vairochana, he emanated as the Buddhas of the four families and taught the meaning of the mother to the Bodhisattvas up to the first bhūmi. Up to that point, the meaning was understood through signs, and there was no speech. Then, he emanated as the Buddhas of the five families, and gathering their compassion into one, he emanated as the noble Avalokiteśvara. He empowered and commanded him to work for the benefit of all sentient beings as long as saṃsāra exists. Then, although the great compassionate one shook saṃsāra to its foundations three times, there was no increase or decrease in the realm of sentient beings. Thinking, "Now I cannot lead all sentient beings, I must become a Buddha myself," he broke his vow and commitment, and his head split into a hundred pieces and his body into a thousand pieces. Then, all the Buddhas and the lord of the family, Amitābha, appeared and blessed the thousand pieces of his body into a thousand hands, and the hundred pieces of his head into nine faces. In order to subdue the wicked, he blessed them with the wrathful face of Vajrapāṇi and ten faces. On top of that, he blessed the face of Amitābha into eleven faces. Now, more than before, he should benefit sentien
