A meditation for nuns newly entering a retreat. A meditation for nuns newly entering a retreat. There is a meditation for nuns newly entering a retreat. Namo Vairocanaye. When newly entering a retreat, the ground must be greatly blessed. Meditate on this place as a pure land, like Sukhavati. In its center, beneath where you sit, is a golden vajra cross, extremely large and majestic, and in the center is a lotus flower, with a thousand petals blooming. Meditate that all the foundations are contained beneath those petals. Above that lotus flower is a full moon disc. On top of that cushion, you yourself are the noble Avalokiteshvara. Your body is white, with one face and four arms, the first two hands joined in prayer, the lower right holding a white crystal rosary, the lower left holding a white lotus flower, blooming near your ear. Your head is adorned with Amitabha. Your hair is styled, and your head is adorned with various precious ornaments. You wear a silk upper garment and a skirt, and a deerskin or antelope skin is draped over your left shoulder. Your legs are in the vajra posture. Your eyes gaze with compassion upon beings. You reside within a blazing mass of light. At your heart, on top of a moon, is a white HRIH The six-syllable mantra circles it to the right. From it, rays of light shine in the ten directions. All the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions, as well as the retinue of Avalokiteshvara and Tara, are all invited here. Some dissolve into yourself, and some dissolve into the dwelling and the house. Flowers rain down, and rainbows interweave. The scent of pleasant fragrance pervades the area. At that time, all the gods, nagas, and local deities gather like a crowd, with faith and respect for you, Avalokiteshvara. They sit with their palms joined, and as you recite the six-syllable mantra, white light radiates from your body and dissolves into the gods and spirits. Cruel thoughts and sinful obscurations are purified, and love and compassion arise in their minds. In return for their kindness, you offer this place and this land to them with devotion. Water, trees, earth, and stones, whatever they need, may they enjoy. Although the gods and spirits have offered it to you, visualize them returning to their respective abodes. At that time, while meditating, recite.

Recite the six-syllable mantra, then observe the mind of the practitioner. Relax and abide in a state of not seeing. Like this, one session each day, after practicing for a few months, in dreams, men and women will bow, offer food and drink, and offer the three white things, etc. If you do not understand such an object of focus, taking water without giving it to the nagas, picking grass, cutting trees, taking soil and stones without giving them to the local deities, there will be faults. If you practice such an object of focus, then wherever you stay in the future, there will be no obstacles, it will be auspicious, and vows and realizations will increase. For all the local deities, gods, and demons, abandon the idea of enemies and fear, and practice thinking of them as benefactors, thinking of benefiting them. This is the beginning of all mountain retreat practices. In general, we who live in the mountains, the meaning of coming to this mountain, is thinking about whether we can accomplish the supreme Dharma. We must strive for all virtuous deeds, and if we indulge in carelessness, afflictions, and clinging, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions will be ashamed to see us with their eyes of wisdom. All the nagas and local deities will also be ashamed because they have defiled manifest wisdom. Put worldly affairs behind you. This time, coming to the mountains, if your body, speech, and mind do not dedicate themselves to virtuous deeds, and if you do not have confidence in your heart, then you have no heart or liver, and no brain in your head. Do not fight each other or secretly be lazy. This time, do not fail to practice. Do not fail to see the nature of your own mind. Do not fail to cultivate loving-kindness and compassion. And whatever thoughts of the five poisons of affliction arise, quickly abandon them. Do not fail to make human life meaningful. Do not fail to protect pure vows. Do not fail to visualize your own body as a deity. Do not fail to diligently practice recitation and supplication. Do not fail to purify the obscurations of the body by prostrating. Make a strong determination in your mind. This meditation sequence for mountain retreat was quickly written by Raga Asya. It is the tea money for the two nieces. May it be auspicious! This is a simple introduction for the new yogini who has entered mountain retreat, read it repeatedly, it will be very helpful for understanding. Namo Mahamudraye. Sanskrit Romanization: Namo mahāmudrāye, Chinese literal meaning: Homage to the Great Seal) Devotion is the beginning of practice. In the sky above your head, all the Lamas in whom you have faith, gather into the form of Vajradhara. His body is blue, holding a vajra and bell, adorned with silk, jewels, and bone ornaments, sitting in the vajra posture.
