The ground is eight cubits long, With seven on each of the two sides. The height of the Buddha image, Is one and a half cubits of a standard person. It is called the house of abandonment. In the happy place of that house, First, after arranging the offerings, Display the Buddha image and make auspicious connections. Chapter Five on the House. Then, regarding the site selection for Chöd, On white rocks and white clay mountains, The pure deities reside in the white direction. If the rock mountain has the shape of a Buddha image or a stupa, If it has the shape of a Shiva lingam, That is a sign that there is a sacred mountain. It is the abode of wisdom heroes and dakinis, It is not appropriate to practice Chöd in dangerous places. Forest mountains are connected to many depressions, Or dry mountains without water, Even if Chöd is practiced in dangerous places, it cannot be cut. The tips of mountains, the tips of water, the tips of valleys, At the confluence where many gather, Even if Chöd is practiced in dangerous places, it is difficult to cut, Because there are many diverse local deities. Even if one is cut, all cannot be cut. Red rocks are fierce, and black rocks are demonic. Cliff mountains have lakes, springs, and nagas. Grass mountains are mostly of the fierce kind. Large rock mountains are demons. Blood and mountains are similar, The difference is that the back is overgrown and the front is lush. Male mountains have thick tops, and female mountains are thin. The mountain is the body, the lake is the heart, The spring is the life force, and the tree is the body. The elephant's crown is the human heart, On the backs of horses and livestock, Pressing on the distance, it is auspicious land. There, make the dwelling place for Chöd practice. That is called the fierce eye. Like a pig's nose and a snake's tongue, Like a wild animal's fangs and claws, Like a horned one's horn tips, Like an elephant's trunk and tongue tips, The tip of the mountain and the corner of the rock, That is called the wrathful eye, It is the end point of sick people and great demons, A place where illness arises if healthy people live. Camps and troops, etc., Without land enemies and with auspicious land, Living in such a place is immediately comfortable. The door of the tent and the small house, Should also face the auspicious water or the auspicious place. If there is a land enemy, Place scriptures and the three supports in that direction. Chapter Six on the Site Selection for Chöd. This sixth chapter on site selection, Is the Indian style and the Chinese style, From the ocean of many scriptures like milk, It is the essence of condensed butter, the heart. At the urging of Lama Tsöndru Gyatso, By Ra Ga Asya, In the Sagittarius month of the Wood Snake year (Tibetan calendar, 1905 AD), In each interval of the evening, Spoke immediately whatever came to mind.
