If one of the four root downfalls is lost, all vows are lost and do not remain. For example, if there is a house with four doors, and inside there is a precious wish-fulfilling jewel, it does not matter from which of the four doors a thief comes. Once the jewel is lost, it is as if there is no jewel. According to the Hinayana Sutra school, losing one does not mean losing all. For example, even if a monk engages in impure conduct, if he protects the other three, it is said that there is benefit, and he is called a fallen monk. This is the view of the Kagyu lineage, the Vajra speech of the Protector of the Three Realms: "Even protecting one aspect becomes a cause for Nirvana." The meaning of this is that a student monk renounced his vows, and in order to raise his children, he killed chickens and pigs, but still wore a blessing pill and drank blessed water. All his Dharma brothers and fellow students rebuked him for this. The Protector of the World said, "Do not rebuke him for that. Even protecting one aspect becomes a cause for Nirvana." Even if a monk has lost all his vows, he is still a fallen monk. Even if he occasionally engages in impure conduct, etc., it creates the fault of newly losing the vows. Therefore, one should relinquish the vows, and then the faults can be stopped. If one does not relinquish the vows, even those who have renounced their vows are counted among the monks. Therefore, there was a layperson with iron feet who went to Potala three times. Once, a monk with tattered robes was with his wife and children on the edge of a field, with his alms bowl hung on a tree branch. He was plowing the field, turning the soil, and the plowshare was red with blood and making a clanging sound. Many insects and sentient beings were dying. You may be a renunciate who needs to be tamed, but not holding the alms bowl and robes harms the teachings. After he said this, the person took the offering and hid it in a clean place. Then he went to Potala, but as before, he did not see a single deity. After making countless prostrations and circumambulations, he did not see wrathful Tara, etc. When he went to the top, it was completely covered in mist. He could not open the door of the palace for a long time. After making many prostrations and circumambulations, he was able to enter, and he asked, "Why is it different from before?" The answer was, "On the way, it was obscured by the fact that you made the person who had broken his vows take off his monastic robes. If that person does not take off those robes, he still has a slight appearance of a monk in his mind."

Now, being careless in virtue will lead to hell, it is said that your sins will obscure you. Then, on the way back, he handed over the Dharma robes and alms bowl. That meaning is from the White Lotus Sutra: All those who have renounced in the teachings of Thubwang (Shakyamuni Buddha), even if they commit any non-virtue and unpardonable sins in this life, even if they experience the suffering of the three lower realms for hundreds of thousands of millions of kalpas, if they have faith in the thousand Buddhas, they will obtain a human body at the end of the teachings, and if they are of the Hinayana lineage, they will attain the fruit of Arhat, and if they are Mahayana, they will attain the Joyful Ground, and not a single one will be left in samsara, it is said that this is the power of Shakyamuni Buddha's aspiration. Therefore, even though wise and accomplished ones like father and son clearly know what will happen and what will become, they do not consider whether they can keep the vows or not, and they grant full ordination to everyone, that meaning is, after taking vows and not starting to practice Dharma, even though the suffering of the lower realms and hell is great, they will eventually be liberated, that is called samsara with an end. Those who do not take vows and engage in non-virtuous deeds will never have a time to be liberated from samsara, that is called samsara without an end. That meaning is, from the same intent of the true Dharma, it is said that if one does not obtain from realization, the fault is great. Even an old champak flower is not comparable to ordinary flowers. Even if my Shravakas are bad, they should not be slandered by ordinary people. Thus spoke the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Buddha himself. In the future, when the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha are destroyed, all the robes colored red and yellow will be collected by the gods and taken away as objects of faith, and they will build stupas on the top of Mount Meru and make offerings. After the teachings decline, the robes will not be able to be dyed. That meaning is clearly explained in the Jataka tales and other sutras. That meaning is, after taking refuge in the Sangha, it is said that one should respect all those who wear yellow robes. Jamyang's (Manjushri's) incarnation, the great translator Ngok Lotsawa, from the gaps in the swept mattresses, wherever yellow cloth was not found, he said that in the lineage of those who wear such robes, there is not one who does not have some quality, and then he put the pieces of cloth into his headdress. My guide, the Lord of Dharma, rolled up the assembly's cushion and placed it on his head, shook off the various cushion dusts and placed it on his tongue, and regularly bowed to the assembly whenever he came. When coming, his body
