The fruition ripens in the next life. It is said that virtue is without interruption. Parents, Vajra masters, and, Bodhisattvas of the ten bhumis, Buddhas. Whatever merit or demerit is accumulated, It is said that it can also ripen in this life. Even if sins are committed in the first part of life, If one strives for virtue in the latter part of life, The virtue will ripen first. Even if the propelling sin throws it, It is said that the completing virtue completes it. Even if one strives for Dharma in the first part of life, If one engages in non-virtue in the latter part of life, Even if the propelling virtue throws it, It is completed by the completing sin. If the virtue is not sealed by the seal of dedication, Boasting and regretting will exhaust it. Confessing sins will also exhaust them. Virtue and sin that are not like that, Will not be wasted even in a hundred kalpas. One's own actions ripen on oneself. Uncommitted actions will not meet with karma. Committed actions will never be wasted. The sun and moon may fall on the plain, Or the wind may be caught by a lasso, Or fire may turn cold, But the result of karma cannot be deceived. This is the word of all the Buddhas. Who would say that this is not true? In this life, the power of the tongue will be dull. One will be born into five hundred groups of insects. Therefore, if you want to go to the mountains, Think about the subtle results of karma again and again. Make sure to practice abandonment and adoption. This little song of the essence of karma, On the first day of the victorious month of the Horse year, Was spoken at dusk. Namo Lokeshvaraya. Listen, you ocean of diligence, Think carefully and don't relax, It's not a time to sleep comfortably. Sleep is like a bird startled, the heart trembles and is uneasy. In this great ocean of samsara, All sentient beings fall. The waves of birth, old age, sickness, and death are turbulent. The evil realms are filled with crocodile mouths, The waves of suffering are incessant. If you don't escape from this now, The fish will swallow you in the evil realms, And the crocodile will catch you in its mouth. The helmsman who liberates from this, Is only the qualified lama. Therefore, generate respect for him. The boat that ferries across the ocean, Is only discipline and vows. Therefore, cherish and protect them. The oar that ferries across the ocean, Is only the lama's instructions. Therefore, hold that in your mind. The way to quickly cross the ocean, Is only practice and diligence. Therefore, strive for that. Like sparks flying

In the manner of cold places, If it is said that the fire of hell is seven times hotter than human fire, Then, for thousands of years, Who can endure being boiled and roasted? In the manner of wearing thin clothes in winter, The body cracks and blisters burst, For countless billions of years, Who can endure the cold? With the hunger of not eating for a day, Even for every thousand years, If food and drink are not seen by the eyes, Who can bear such hunger and suffering? In the leather bag called an old dog, If five hundred births of dogs are piled up, how painful would it be? In the fear of loud noises and clamor, If born as an Asura, where to flee? In the heartache of winning or losing in arguments, How to endure the defeat and fall of the gods? This suffering of the three lower realms, Even hearing it is frightening, What to do if it falls upon you? The happiness of the three higher realms, Is like good food mixed with poison, Happy for a while, but ultimately ruined. Like shepherds taking turns eating, The six realms of beings revolve in turn, Countless sufferings are like an ocean, Experiencing birth, old age, sickness, and death without interruption. Such suffering of samsara, As the non-Buddhists say, Is not created by Ishvara and Vishnu, Nor is it a punishment by other powerful beings, It is the result of one's own actions. Therefore, have compassion for yourself, Confess and restrain from past sins, And vow not to do them in the future. Every night, in your own mind, Examine whether good or evil is more. Confess immediately any transgressions that occur, Dedicate any merit achieved to enlightenment. Even if body and speech have not committed unwholesome deeds, If unwholesome thoughts arise in the mind, Feel ashamed of yourself. In short, the meaning of the eighty-four thousand teachings, Is what the Bhagavan taught: Do no evil, Practice all good, Tame your own mind, This is the teaching of the Buddhas. In this verse that is spoken, All the Dharma of the Sutra Pitaka is gathered, Therefore, keep this word in mind. The song of remembering the suffering of samsara, Is spoken by the monk Rahula Asu, On the third day of the waxing moon of the horse year (藏历新年), Spoken in the evening session, Written in the forgetfulness record by Diligence Ocean, May it benefit countless beings! Chapter Two Mangalam! Chapter Two: For the sake of leading ordinary people into the door of Dharma.
