The ritual of reading the empowerment instructions for the twelve mandalas of the Practice Lineage The ritual of reading the empowerment instructions for the twelve mandalas of the Practice Lineage Here begins the main text of the ritual of reading the empowerment instructions for the twelve mandalas of the Practice Lineage. Offer the mandala. To enter the Guru's mandala, please repeat. Great joy, you are my teacher, Guru, please consider me. Showing the way to great Bodhi, Great Protector, I beseech you. Please grant me that samaya, and also grant me the mind of Bodhi. Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, please also grant me refuge. In the supreme city of great liberation, may the Protector lead me to enter. Whatever non-virtue I have done helplessly, or rejoiced in, or whatever I have done, all of these before the supreme Bodhi, I now confess them all, one by one. To accomplish the profoundness of the two accumulations of the Sugata's sons, and for the sake of all beings without exception, I always rejoice in doing or anything else. May you have a heart filled with pervasive compassion, with wisdom destroying all the hosts of ignorance and sin. Abiding within the lotus of all lineages without exception, I take refuge in the Sugatas. It is the joyful garden of all supreme minds, the victorious grove of the inferior and fearful, surpassing the wealth of existence with power, I take refuge in the supreme speech - the Dharma. Destroyed by the poison of snakes such as desire, possessing pure wisdom and compassion, I take refuge in the assembly of ascetics and masters, and I prostrate to those who are free from existence. The master's realm is the very possession after the cause, with the power of the fruit conquering the enemy, the root of compassion is planted and truly realized, I generate the unequaled Bodhicitta. In order to ripen sentient beings, or to protect them, or to purify one's own mind, all these are abandoned like grass and so on. Likewise, for the sake of the pure deeds of myself and others, I meditate moment by moment on the unsurpassed discipline, patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom. The Sugata is skilled in the mantra Dharma.
