Pawa! Whoever mentally pays homage to the great king of wisdom, the supreme Vajrapani, accumulates more merit than that. As it is said, obtaining this empowerment once is more meritorious than obtaining the empowerment of ninety-two kotis of other deities as numerous as the sands of the Ganges. This is clearly indicated by the aforementioned prophecy. This Vajrapani also has one hundred and eight forms, as stated in the "Praise of One Hundred Names." Among them, this Utsarya is extremely sharp and swift. It is said that this is practiced as Vajrapani according to the evil mantra tradition, so it is said that many mantras do not need to be recited. Once, the Bhagavan Shakyamuni, in the southern part of India, near the land of Gaya, in the grove of twin Sala trees, in a place endowed with powerful beings, spoke this tantra to Manjushri Tiktaka, Vajradhara, and others, calling it the Vajra Karma Tantra. The Lord of Secrets gave it to the great accomplished Padmavajra, who gave it to Nagarjuna. Nagarjuna also composed a vast commentary on its sadhana. Nagarjuna gave it to the teacher Chandragomin. At that time, King Dharmapala of India suffered from a Naga disease, and he requested this from Chandragomin and was cured. The king gave it to Lama Zanglingpa, who gave it to many others, curing thirteen thousand people of virulent diseases. He went to Tibet and stayed in the Uushangdo temple, curing more than a thousand patients. From then on, he gradually obtained the lineage of empowerment, and also obtained the empowerment and prophecy from the Mind Treasure "Clarity of the Heart Sphere," thus uniting the teachings and treasures. Thus, this is the supreme method for pacifying diseases of planets, nagas, and earth lords. It is practiced as Vajrapani according to the evil mantra tradition, a profound secret mantra, a key instruction, fierce like lightning, subduing the hosts of nagas and earth lords and all the demonic armies. Merely remembering this can pacify eighty thousand types of obstacles. Merely reciting this causes all evil spirits to tremble violently, flee, and separate. In the degenerate age of the five hundred, when earth lords and nagas are rampant, those who do not keep their vows cannot practice, therefore the blessings of the mantra are scarce. The Dakini with golden rays of light collected it from the tantra hidden by the Dakinis. It is said to be an instruction with great meaning in its words, and three million.
