Herein is the Empowerment of the Wrathful Guru, General to the Kama and Terma. Having paid homage to Vajra Drakpo Tsal, I shall write the empowerment of the Wrathful General of Kama and Terma. May the Dharma-protecting guardians grant permission for the command. Cloth paintings or arrangements of grains are arranged. Vases, tormas, and empowerment substances are fully gathered. Whatever wrathful ritual there is, follow the text. After completing the hundred recitations, gather the disciples. After dispelling obstacles, performing ablutions, and offering the mandala, it is excellent that you all now, in this time of the five degenerations, when all the demons, planets, nagas, gyalpo spirits, and tsen spirits are rampant, desire to receive the empowerment of the Wrathful Guru, the nemesis of the gods and demons of existence. Its history is as follows: In the past, in the pure land of Sukhavati in the west, from the heart of Buddha Amitabha, a HRIH（藏文：ཧཱིཝ，梵文天城体：ह्रीः，梵文罗马拟音：hrīḥ，汉语字面意思：Shame） syllable endowed with five rays of light emanated, and it gathered all the blessings of the HRIH（藏文：ཧཱི，梵文天城体：ह्रीः，梵文罗马拟音：hrīḥ，汉语字面意思：Shame） from the heart of Avalokiteshvara, the six Thupas, and the thousand and two Buddhas. That HUM（藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：हूँ，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：Hum） syllable, like a shooting star, went to the island lake of Dhanakosha, and it was prophesied that the emanation would perform the benefit of beings. There, Avalokiteshvara requested the tantras and sadhanas from Amitabha, and he taught countless tantric classes, including the tantra of the Wrathful Guru and the one called "Extracting the Heart of the Arrogant Ones," and prophesied that it would be deeper and faster than others. Therefore, that emanation was miraculously born on a lotus stalk in the island lake of Dhanakosha in the western land of Oddiyana. He manifested in whatever way was suitable to tame beings, such as peaceful, wrathful, or semi-wrathful forms. He brought all the dakinis of the ocean island under his control. He bound all the nagas of the ocean and the planets and constellations of space by oath and accepted them as servants. His name became known as Vajra Draktsal. Then, he went to the eight great charnel grounds and bound by oath all the dakinis and dharma protectors, headed by the Dharma-protecting Mother and Magon, and offered their respective life-forces along with their sadhanas. Manifesting as the wrathful conqueror of the three realms, he vanquished all obstacles and beings, dissolving awareness into the Dharmadhatu. Manifesting as red Manjushri, he vanquished all obstacles transformed from gods, dissolving awareness into the Dharmadhatu, thus becoming known as the Great Lord of Life. Manifesting as the supreme Heruka, he vanquished all Mamos and Dakinis, dissolving awareness into the Dharmadhatu. Manifesting as Vajrakumara, he vanquished all male and female demons, dissolving awareness into the Dharmadhatu, thus becoming known as Yaksha Membal. Manifesting as Hala with six faces, he vanquished all Tsen and demons, dissolving awareness into the Dharmadhatu. Manifesting as the turquoise wheel with thirty-two marks, he vanquished all planets, dissolving awareness into the Dharmadhatu. Manifesting as Yama with six faces, he vanquished all Yamas, dissolving awareness into the Dharmadhatu, thus becoming known as the Great Terrifier.
