If you offer to and propitiate Zhanglon, the Dharma Protector of the Four Tantras, before dissolving the self-generation deity, it is best to use a three-cornered torma, decorated with butter, shaped like jewels, and adorned with clean meat. If not available, scatter various grains or roasted barley flour in a copper plate, or clean meat, or butter, or pieces of meat broth. If not available, offering the best tea is also acceptable, but one offering is definitely necessary. In front, there is Vajra Subduer of Maras, with a black body, one face, and two hands wearing a black cloak. The right hand holds a club, and the left hand holds an iron hook. Both legs are in a half-lotus position. Hūṃ! (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ!) From the great charnel ground of Akanishta, the rough grove and the cool grove, the eight great charnel grounds and the twenty-four sacred sites, the place where the Dharma wheel of the monastery turns, I invite Zhanglon and his retinue. May the main deity and retinue be seated on a suitable seat, and may they be satisfied with outer, inner, and secret offering clouds, and with substances appropriate to each. Wearing blue clothes, the son of Vajrapani, revered by countless treasure lords with jeweled crests, Zhanglon wearing a great cloak, Vajra Subduer of Maras, named Black Yaksha with Blood Hair, all activities of the mundane and supramundane realms, accomplished without obstruction, with a body possessing miraculous powers, as black as the rain clouds of the final age, short and stout, with coarse limbs, with angry red eyes, gnashing teeth, emitting loud sounds, eyebrows and beard blazing red and yellow, like a wish-fulfilling jewel fulfilling the wishes of practitioners, holding a vase of nectar that cures the diseases of sentient beings, wearing precious silk and brocade cloaks, and golden Sakya boots, with a throwing stance, together with the Rakshasi Vajra who accomplishes all activities, completely suppressing the three realms.
