A Compilation of the Meaning of Empowerment of the Symbolic Empowerment of the Blessing Torma from the Lama Gongpa Duspa and the Three Roots. A Compilation of the Meaning of Empowerment of the Symbolic Empowerment of the Blessing Torma from the Lama Gongpa Duspa and the Three Roots is completed. ཟུག།ཊསྭ༔ Namo Guru Deva Dakini Hum! (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) From the rain of blessing nectar, which ripens and liberates disciples, the pure instructions are extensively taught, gathering the symbolic empowerment of the Torma. Here, relying on the Torma, only the blessing is given as a symbolic empowerment, there are eight parts. In what way does the teacher empower what kind of disciple? In what way, if not empowered, what are the faults, and if empowered, what are the benefits, there are five parts. The teacher is one who has gained stability in the mandala and is skilled in the power of emptiness and compassion; the intermediate is one who has completed the recitation of the deity and is not defiled by the impurities of self-desire; the lowest is also skilled in the order of ritual practice, and the teacher who does not act with partiality, rashness, or carelessness, and is endowed with loving-kindness. To what kind of disciple should empowerment be given? One who possesses the seven qualities of broad-mindedness, faith, diligence, commitment, generosity, perseverance, and great armor; the intermediate is a person of great faith, abiding by their commitments, and great generosity; the lowest is also a disciple who does not despise the kindness of the Vajra Master. In what way should empowerment be given? It should be taught and empowered from the framework of the three: preliminary, main, and concluding practices; first, at a special time, such as the tenth day of the lunar calendar, such as the eighth, fifteenth, and twenty-third days, in a dwelling that is pleasing to the mind, etc., all the offerings for the completion of the gathering are arranged; then, on a base of earth or wood, according to the appropriate size, it is good to draw an eight-petaled mandala. Even if it is not completed, in the center, arrange nine piles of grains, etc.; in clean grain flour, mix various spices, nectar, and alcohol, and make a glorious offering with eight corners and eight petals, decorated with white lines, red tents, desirable objects, and food, arrange decorations of silk ribbons and precious ornaments, and in the eight directions, also arrange Tormas of the Lama, Yidam, Dakini, etc., according to their respective types, as well as outer and inner offerings, and nectars of medicine and blood, in order.

Arrange according to common practice. Then, the Vajra Master, being seated on the cushion, starting from taking refuge and generating Bodhicitta, should first perform elaborate offerings and praises, and fully generate the mandala of the Three Roots, either elaborately or concisely, and then recite. With Vajra Kilaya and so on, straighten the lineage of vast activities. Accomplish up to the Tsog offering. In particular, generate the glorious Torma, the Samaya beings of the Three Roots deities, and invite the Wisdom Beings to merge. Recite this mantra as many hundreds of thousands of times as possible. If you like elaboration, you can also perform the recitation rituals such as recitation invocation and recitation praise that come from other sources. These are the preliminary steps. Second, the main part: Purifying obscurations: Bathe the disciples with water blessed by reciting dharani mantras. Have them sit inside and fumigate with gugul incense. Smear them with sesame and mustard oil, and dispel obstacles with fierce mantras. Play music. The master should contemplate the protective wheel. The disciples, abiding in the generation stage of Vajrasattva, recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra and purify their being. Then, offer the mandala, prostrate, and supplicate in unison: Hum! Root of blessings, Kagyu lineage lamas, we supplicate! Root of accomplishments, Yidam deities, we supplicate! Root of activities, assembly of Dakinis, we supplicate! Please bless and ripen us, lamas. Please bless and liberate us, Yidam deities. Please bless and clear away obstacles, Dakinis! Generate faith and supplicate. Then, the Vajra Master, adorned with bone ornaments and so on, generates the pride of the deity. The disciples also instantly visualize all males as Hayagriva, with a red body, one face and two arms, wrathful and fierce, possessing many wrathful features, with a green horse head neighing on the crown of their heads. The two hands hold a curved knife and a skull cup filled with blood, performing the dance of a powerful hero. With just that, all sentient beings, male and female, of existence and appearance, are transformed into glorious Hayagriva and gather together.
