Holding the tusk of a wild boar and a lasso in her hand, she completely cuts off the root of birth and death. If one obtains this empowerment, the harm and disputes of the earth lords will be pacified, and the root of birth and death will be severed. In the Indian language, she is called "Maharana" (藏文：མ་ཧཱ་ར་ན་，梵文天城体：महारण，梵文罗马拟音：Maharana，汉语字面意思：Great Battle), meaning "Vajra Crow-headed Mother," who is the mother of the demon father Black Yama. She manifests as the garland of skulls with dark purplish-black blazing hair, surrounded by a hundred million retinues of demons. Holding a vajra in her hand, she completely cuts off the birth and death of sentient beings. If one obtains this empowerment, all the demonic omens will be averted, and birth and death will be completely severed. In the Indian language, she is called "Uttana" (藏文：ཨུ་ཏ་ན་，梵文天城体：उत्तान，梵文罗马拟音：Uttana，汉语字面意思：Extensive), meaning "Big-nosed Elephant-headed Mother," who is the mother of Vighnaraja Vinayaka, the king of obstacles. She manifests as the garland of skulls with white blazing hair, surrounded by a hundred million obstacle-makers and heretics, holding a human corpse in her hand, and destroying all kinds of obstacles. If one obtains this empowerment, all the harm of obstacles will be pacified. In the Indian language, she is called "Varuna" (藏文：ཝ་རུ་ཎ་，梵文天城体：वरुण，梵文罗马拟音：Varuna，汉语字面意思：Water God), meaning "Water God Snake-faced Mother," who is the mother of Varuna, the king of nagas and lord of water. She manifests as the garland of skulls with blue blazing hair, holding a snake lasso in her hand, tightly binding samsara, reducing all the naga umbrellas to dust, and being surrounded by countless retinues of nagas. If one obtains this empowerment, one will not regress in samsara.
