The prince sent the others ahead, and he himself came alone carrying the wooden box, and on top of a dry tree whose roots were burned by fire, a bird named Bata was rolling on the sand of the sea, and a bird whose eye was pierced by a thorn, crying to its own eye tree, saying, "Oh, wretched seeing eye, I have no fruit! I have no ability to fly elsewhere! Oh, wretched, what is the karmic result, who will protect me?" There, the prince pulled out the thorn from its eye and went away very sadly. A hornless deer was shot by a merchant, licking its wound, surrounded by many other deer crying, and the prince saw it and almost fainted, and then went away. Seeing the dried-up water eye burned by fire, the trees burned by fire, the collapsed rocks, the broken land, he went away unhappily, meditating and drinking water as he went. At that time, the two princes discussed, "This righteous one made us abandon the jewels, it is truly jealousy! Therefore, kill him, let him die. Let the merchants go first, and we two will seize the prince." Having said that, the two of them stayed behind. After that, the righteous one went with a tree spirit, and the two princes were at a cliff.

As soon as he said this, the wounds were healed, and the two princes were nowhere to be seen. He followed the merchants' tracks and went. At that time, the two princes did not find a road and went towards a bay with a moonlit path. At that time, the Dharma holder arrived at the merchants and told the previous story in detail, and the companions were also overwhelmed with sorrow. At that time, the Dharma holder went to search for the two princes. He searched in all directions but could not find them, so he said this: O local gods! Have you seen the two princes? A god named Great Rock God said: From here, they went towards the east. Meeting a forest, go north, O princes. If you meet someone like a dog, go east. The princes are in the bay. Meeting beasts, fan them with a fan. Then he did as he was told and went. There, the two princes were surrounded by beasts, and the prince fanned them with a fan, and the beasts ran away. Then the three of them came together and met the merchants.
