If asked whether it changes or does not change? If the genders of the two parents are transformed, becoming woman and man, and they are killed, it will also become the unremitting sin of killing parents, because it is killing the act of the parents who gave birth to one's own special body. Therefore, if one kills a man who is neither a father nor a mother nor an Arhat, will one be touched by the fault of unremitting sin? The answer is yes. If one kills a mother whose gender has been transformed, one will be touched by the fault of unremitting sin. Similarly, if one kills a woman who is neither a mother nor an Arhatni, will one be touched by the fault of unremitting sin? The answer is yes. If one kills a father whose gender has been transformed, one will be touched by the fault of unremitting sin. This is what is said in the scriptures. Similarly, in the Karma Establishment, a brother sends a brother, saying: "Go, do not kill the mother! Kill yourself, do not let others kill." If this is done, will both of them have unremitting karma? Or will only one have it? The answer is: If you kill yourself, then both will have unremitting karma. If you let others kill and you do not kill yourself, then the latter will have unremitting karma, but the former will not. If both you and others kill, only the latter will have unremitting karma, but the former will not. A brother sends a brother, saying: "Go, kill the road! Let others kill, but do not kill yourself." If this is done, will both of them have unremitting karma? Or will only one have it? The answer is: If you let others kill and you do not kill yourself, then both will have unremitting karma. If only you kill and you do not let others kill, then only the latter will have unremitting karma. If both you and others kill, only the latter will have unremitting karma. Similarly, a brother sends a brother, saying: "Go, do not kill the mother! Kill yourself and others together." If you and others kill together, then both will have unremitting karma, but if either you or others

If one kills with a hoe, only the last strike constitutes an action of immediate retribution; the first strike does not.

Because the karmic action of immediate retribution is powerful in itself. The venerable Dbyangs Sgrog says that action is the accumulation of minute particles, so for a particle, it is an action of immediate retribution. Some particles are solely for killing, so there are two kinds of action. If one kills an arhat with the perception of a non-arhat, it becomes an action of immediate retribution, because one definitely holds the thought, "I killed this person." If one kills someone who is both a father and an arhat, or someone who is both a mother and an arhatni, then it is one action of immediate retribution for killing an arhat, because there is only one basis. Then, in the Vinayavibhaṅga, it says, "In the past, in the city of Sgrasgrog, King Utrayana, who was both a father and an arhat, was killed by his son, Prince Skra-can. Go and tell Sgra-can that you have committed two actions of immediate retribution: one is that you killed your father, and the other is that you killed an arhat." If this is said to be obscured, how should it be understood? It should be said that you committed an action of immediate retribution with two causes of immediate retribution, or that it is madness spoken from two doors, but there is only one action of immediate retribution. Similarly, if one draws blood from the body of the Tathagata with malicious intent, if one throws a weapon thinking that it is killing the Buddha, it becomes an action of immediate retribution; if one throws a weapon thinking that it is only striking the Buddha, it does not become an action of immediate retribution, because there is no intention to kill. Similarly, if one throws a weapon at someone who has not attained arhatship, and after the throwing, that person attains arhatship, then that throwing does not become an action of immediate retribution for the death of an arhat, because one did not make preparations for that person beforehand. Then, if one makes preparations for an action of immediate retribution, but does not abandon it, will one attain the fruit of freedom from desire? If one makes preparations for an action of immediate retribution, it is impossible to attain freedom from desire and its fruit, because the intention is very contradictory. For those who make preparations for paths of action other than immediate retribution, the noble path arises, and once the noble path has arisen, the path of action for which preparations were made does not arise, because the basis for the arising of the noble path and those paths of action are very contradictory. Therefore, what need is there to mention if one actually commits an action of immediate retribution? Here is freedom from desire.
