Second, in the extensive explanation, an extensive explanation of correspondence. Second, in the extensive explanation, an extensive explanation of correspondence. Second, the extensive explanation is divided into correspondence and non-correspondence. The first is mind-arising, which is a brief explanation. The definite things that arise from the mind are of five Some people think that it is through their own power that they hold the difference of meaning, because others hold the nature through the power of the mind. Similarly, the mind also holds the nature of the ground through its own power, and holds the difference of the ground through the power of mind-arising. This is what they think. The second is the Vaibhashikas (the thirty-eight kinds that are determined to be five categories), the ten many-ground mental factors, the ten virtuous mental factors, the six afflicted mental factors, the two non-virtuous mental factors, the ten minor afflicted mental factors, the eight uncertain mental factors, the root of virtue of non-ignorance, the view of the root afflictions, and in the Abhidharma, the many-ground mental factors of afflictions that arise, non-alertness, forgetfulness, distraction, improper attention, and the five wrong views, a total of seven, and arising from minor fundamental matters.

Wisdom is only good and without ignorance, defiled wisdom is only view, and wisdom that corresponds to the defiled mind and mental factors is not correct knowledge, and memory, samadhi, attention, and faith are only defiled, such as forgetfulness (and distraction, non-reasoned attention, wrong faith), etc. That's what they think. Although the predecessors explained it this way, if we study it carefully, (if we establish both non-harm and harm as non-anger and anger, it is reasonable. Non-anger is loving-kindness and compassion, and non-anger is also said to be compassion, non-harm is said to be loving-kindness, and harm is said to be wishing sentient beings to suffer, according to the Vaibhashika school, it is reasonable to establish nine kinds of nominal existence.) From the fundamental afflictions arise displeasure, depression, non-attention, sorrow, suffering, discomfort, and quarrels, etc., which are also said to be established on feelings, laziness, defiled wisdom, and anger, etc., because there is no contradiction. The upper school says that what arises from the mind, feeling, cognition, mind, attention, touch, and the five all-goings.

Desire, ascertainment, mindfulness, samadhi, and wisdom, these five are definite in their objects. Faith, shame, knowing shame, having embarrassment, non-attachment and the like, three, and diligence, Tranquility, non-carelessness, equanimity, and non-harming, these eleven are virtuous. The root afflictions are: Attachment, anger, pride, ignorance, view, and doubt, six in total. Wrath, resentment, concealment, vexation, jealousy, stinginess, deceit, and slyness, Arrogance and harming. Shamelessness, lack of embarrassment, torpor, excitement, Lack of faith, laziness, carelessness, forgetfulness, non-alertness, Distraction, these are called near afflictions, two sets of ten each. Sleep, regret, conception, and analysis are four that change into other states. Thus, there are fifty-one mental factors. In the Thirty Verses and the Five Aggregates Treatise, it says: "All-pervasive, specific object, virtuous mental factors, as well as afflictions and near afflictions." Regret and sleep are also like that, as are conception and analysis. Near afflictions are two, divided into two types. The first five mental factors are associated with all minds, thus they are all-pervasive. Desire is only associated with the object of thought, ascertainment is only associated with the object of determination, mindfulness is only associated with the object of familiarity, and samadhi and wisdom are only associated with the object of examining faults and qualities, not involving other objects such as unthought objects. Therefore, the five, desire and so on, are definite in their respective objects. Faith and the like, eleven in number, are virtuous mental factors. Attachment and the like, six in number, are the root of all afflictions and cause the mind to be afflicted, thus they are root afflictions. The remaining twenty, wrath and so on, belong to the category of root afflictions, are close to them, and cause the mind to be afflicted, thus they are only near afflictions. Sleep, regret, and conception, analysis, two groups, four in total, are not necessarily near afflictions, they can be afflicted or non-afflicted. Non-afflicted ones can be virtuous or unlabelled, thus there are three possibilities. Afflicted ones can be non-virtuous or labelled, thus there are also four possibilities, so they are changeable. In the six categories, except for the first two categories and the absence of ignorance in the third category, and non-carelessness, equanimity, and non-harming, these four, the remaining seven and those other than view
