如果产生，这些界中哪些是根，哪些不是根呢？这些界（婆罗门自性听闻后，经中说：眼等六根，以及女、男、命、乐等五种，信等五种，以及不知一切而能知一切的无漏三种，共二十二根。）中，法界的一半，命和感受乐等五种，信等五种，以及无漏根的三部分，共十四种；以及眼等界中，哪些是内说的（眼等五根，以及心界七种），这十二种是根。眼等五根分别是五根，男女根是由于包含在身体内，意根是心界七种和无漏根三部分的原因。这样，剩余的法界一半和色等五种就成立为不是根。

If they arise, which of these realms are faculties, and which are not? Among these realms (after the Brahmin nature heard, the sutra says: six faculties such as the eye, as well as five such as female, male, life, and pleasure, five such as faith, and three without outflows that can know everything without knowing everything, totaling twenty-two faculties), half of the Dharma realm, five such as life and feeling pleasure, five such as faith, and three parts of the faculties without outflows, totaling fourteen; and among the realms such as the eye, which are said to be internal (five such as the eye, and seven mind realms), these twelve are faculties. The five such as the eye are each the five faculties, the male and female faculties are because they are contained within the body, and the mind faculty is because it is the seven mind realms and three parts of the faculties without outflows. Thus, the remaining half of the Dharma realm and the five such as form are established as not being faculties.
