Then, breathing slowly, exhale directly from the eyes and nostrils for a length of twelve or sixteen fingers, which is the measure of the length of the breath. Directly in front, gaze upwards at the sky with angry eyes, the lower half being white and the upper half being black. Maintain silence, not only refraining from speaking to others, but also from reciting prayers such as the refuge prayer and the Vajrasattva mantra, except for the necessary recitations. Do not recite sutras or mantras, but let the breath flow naturally, so that neither heat disorders arise from holding it in too much, nor cold disorders from releasing it too much. Mental solitude means not only being free from other thoughts, but also from sectarian speculation, the faults of samsara, and the practice of loving-kindness and compassion, except for remembering the deity and the lama at the beginning of the session. Maintain the posture of gazing, with eyes open and without smiling, just staring straight ahead, and the mind is also focused on the point of the eyes' gaze, without thinking about anything or paying attention to it, just staring blankly. Continue like this for nine days or so. Now, let's briefly introduce the experiences and signs that arise after practice: In terms of the body, one may experience trembling, shaking, pain, chills, hemiplegia, or the feeling that the body is becoming larger or smaller. In terms of speech, one may experience various situations such as wanting to speak or not wanting to speak. In terms of mind, one may experience various emotions such as anxiety, agitation, joy, and so on. In terms of vision, one may see various colors such as smoke, clouds, trees, or see caves, fireflies, large stars, butter lamps, or see yellow or gray light, mountains, various spots, deities, animals, and so on. These are the appearances of the mind when the breath enters the central channel slightly. If there is no pain in the body, one feels comfortable, one does not feel the breath flowing in the body, and the innate wisdom naturally abides, these are signs that the body, speech, and mind have been slightly accomplished. Here, it is also directly introduced that the nature of the mind is luminosity, but doing so may cause beginners to become disoriented and unable to focus on the main practice, so it is appropriate to introduce it slightly. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Although its posture key points and the method of settling the mind are the same as the main practice (the three unmoving and three secluded key points), as a unique preliminary practice, it has the necessity of easily generating practice without waiting for practice experience. Moreover, there is also a difference in guiding after briefly introducing the essence of the main practice. The main practice also has the characteristic of completely including the four methods of settling the mind in one method of settling. It is said that although there are other physical posture key points, it is necessary to place the hands on the thighs in any case, which is the oral instruction of Dharma Lord Omniscient One. The above is about the unique preliminary practice. The Main Practice. Practicing the Night Yoga with the Three Unmoving Main Practice: In a dark room, begin when the head wind flows from the right nostril (usually no more than once), with refuge and so on as the preliminary, the body does not move, the speech does not move, which is no different from the previous body seclusion and speech seclusion. For the mind not moving, practice the four methods of settling the mind completely in one method of settling: such as not thinking anything in the mind, and in that state, without distraction, according to the way of looking, focus single-mindedly on this, like a monkey tied to a single post; not cutting off the past, not welcoming the future, not adding any fabrication to the present awareness, abiding like being with the middle one of three brothers; in a state of focusing on one key point, immediately relax, like a mule unloading its burden, in a state where all of these are complete, remain in equanimity. In this way, for five days or so, practice in four sessions in the morning and evening, and at dusk and dawn (do not practice in the middle of the day and night, beginners can practice according to their ability), then the four appearances will arise, such as smoke, such as mirage, such as sky appearance i.e. such as fireflies, and such as butter lamps, which are the four definite signs of the Kalachakra system. These are also the self-nature luminosity of the mind, the direct seeing of the Dharmakaya. After introducing it so directly, practice the Day Yoga: In a place where the vast sky can be seen, such as the top of a mountain or the middle of a plain, surround your body with a wall that others cannot see. In the morning and evening, turn your back to the sun (avoid direct sunlight on the eyes, such as wearing a hat or in the shade, it is also possible to practice at noon). With refuge and so on as the preliminary, in the state of possessing the three unmoving, practice the four methods of settling the mind without any difference from the Night Yoga, at a distance of an arrow's length. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
