Having summoned the children, he bestowed the methods of practice for the peaceful and wrathful deities, the Six Bardo Teachings, the liberating through connection, and many other instructions for activities benefiting beings, writing them down in the symbolic script of the dakinis and placing them in a precious box. Up to this point, it is the common three lineages of all secret mantra teachings and terma. Then, to make these terma teachings even more extraordinary, the three additional lineages of aspiration empowerment, dakini entrustment, and command prophecy were added. At that time, the terma box was placed on the head of Jokro Luyi Gyaltsen, and the aspiration was made: Emaho! The ultimate of all dharmas, the supreme essence of all unsurpassable secrets, the method of liberating suffering into great bliss, is the attainment of enlightenment in this very moment. The essential meaning of the intention of the Buddhas of the three times, condensed like the essence of clarified butter, was composed by me, Orgyen Padmasambhava, for the benefit of future beings, not to be transmitted to others, but to be concealed as a precious treasure. And he explained the reason for concealing it: In the future, at the end of the degenerate age, at the end of the time of fifty years of conflict, at that time, all those without such instructions will undoubtedly fall into the lower realms. The lineage of command prophecy is: After that, King Trisong Detsen passed away, and Orgyen Rinpoche departed to the Copper-Colored Glorious Mountain. When the prophecies and auspicious connections of the treasure guardians were complete, he secretly extracted this treasure box from that treasure site and invited it out. In addition, he also extracted the Peaceful and Wrathful Padmasambhava and other teachings from the treasure and transcribed them onto yellow paper. As the previous prophecy said: At that time, you, the fortunate one, are the heart-essence son, whose parents are accomplished ones named Sun and Moon (ཉི་ཟླ།). The one named Karma Lingpa is courageous, with a birthmark on his right thigh, marked with the likeness of the eye of wisdom. Born in the year of the Dragon-Serpent, he is of the lineage of the heroes of karma. May you meet that fortunate person. Moreover, the reason for secrecy at that time was: Even he, for three generations, the Peaceful and Wrathful Intent of Self-Liberation and other teachings, must not be revealed to anyone even slightly. If revealed, obstacles will arise. Although it was said like this, before the time to propagate this teaching had arrived, merely showing a single yellow paper caused an obstacle to his lifespan. Because the prophecy of the treasure prophecy's dakini was mistaken, quarrels and other things also occurred. Knowing that he was about to pass away, he said that if it were delayed until tomorrow, many lotus flower patterns would appear on my body, and he also spoke many prophecies. Afterward, before passing away, he gave the empowerment, guidance, and instructions of this Peaceful and Wrathful teaching to his heart-son Nyima Chökyi, saying that when a person named Sun and Moon (ཉི་ཟླ།) appears, give it to him, and do not show it to anyone else. Having said this, the treasure revealer passed away. After that, Karma Lingpa's son Nyima Chökyi went from Dakpo to the Lungpo region and met with Lama Rinpoche Surya Chandra. Because the dreams and auspicious connections were in agreement, he completely received the empowerment, transmission, and key instructions of the profound Peaceful and Wrathful Intent of Self-Liberation cycle of teachings. You are the third generation prophesied to receive it. I have not shown this teaching to anyone, not even a little bit.
