The Union of Peaceful and Wrathful Deities Empowerment: Liberation Through Hearing. The Union of Peaceful and Wrathful Deities Empowerment: Liberation Through Hearing. The Empowerment Combining the Peaceful and Wrathful Deities, the Spontaneous Liberation of the Mind That Empties the Hell Realms of Illusion, Peaceful and Wrathful Deities, is Herein Contained. O! For the sake of all sentient beings equal to the sky, may I attain the precious state of complete and perfect enlightenment. For that purpose, with the thought of listening to the profound ripening empowerment that is the root of the Vajrayana path, generate the attitude of engaging in the practice of listening to the Dharma. As stated in the sutras and tantras, abandoning the three faults of the vessel and the six stains, it is necessary to listen in a state of possessing the four pure perceptions. The Omniscient Dharma Lord said: "The lama is the doctor, the instruction is the medicine, keep in mind that you are the patient, and diligently strive to take the medicine, just as peace is attained by being freed from illness and obtaining the result, rely on the four pure perceptions." Listen clearly and distinctly as stated. The order of what is to be listened to is as follows: Our teacher, the Victorious One, the perfectly complete Buddha, the essence of the three kayas, the skillful means and great compassion, all the inconceivable nectar of the Dharma spoken by them in accordance with the thoughts, faculties, and predispositions of sentient beings to be tamed, in short, are all included in the two, the cause Paramitayana and the result Vajrayana. As it is said: "There are two vehicles, namely, the vehicle of the characteristic cause, and the vehicle of the result, the Vajrayana." Of these two, the Vajrayana is superior by four distinctions. In the Lamp of Three Aspects it says: "Although the meaning is one, it is not confusing, there are many methods and no difficulties, because it is empowered by sharp faculties, the mantra vehicle is particularly superior." As it is said, the Dharma to be taught here is the Vajrayana. Among them, the later translations were translated by the great translator Rinchen Zangpo and others, and the earlier translations were translated by the incarnate translator Vairochana and others when the three, the abbot, the master, and the Dharma, were complete. Of the two, here is the self-tradition that is superior to the new secret mantra by six greatnesses.

It is the Nyingma school. Within the Nyingma school, there are three traditions: the distant transmission of oral teachings, the profound pure visions, and the close transmission of treasure teachings. Here, it is a profound treasure teaching that is more distinguished than the former ones, possessing the lineage of aspiration empowerments, entrustment to the dakinis, prophecies of the teachings, and so on. Among them, there are also four types: the Kriya Tantra, the Charya Tantra, the Yoga Tantra, and the Anuttara Yoga Tantra, the precious tantra section. Here, as it is said, "The difference between outer and inner substances of secret mantra," it is the inner Anuttara Yoga, which is more distinguished than the three outer tantras. Within that, as it is said, "Maha shows the tantra, Anu shows the scripture, Ati shows the pith instructions," there are three. Here, based on the mandala of outer dust, colors, cloth paintings, etc., the generation stages are shown as in the Maha Yoga Tantra; based on the mandala of one's own body as the victorious ones, the completion stages are shown as in the Anu Yoga scripture; and based on the mandala of the secret self-awareness, the mind of enlightenment, all phenomena of samsara and nirvana are determined by the six bardos, and the pith instructions are shown as in the Ati Yoga, which is the empowerment of the Wrathful and Peaceful Deities of the Illusory Net, the Self-Liberation of the Awareness of the Hollow Valley, which is the main one of the three, the tantra, scripture, and pith instructions. Therefore, first, by explaining the history of the lineage, one generates unwavering faith and certainty in the pith instructions, and the empowerment of the pith instructions that are in accordance with the history. There are two points to this: first, the reasons for explaining the history, the faults of not explaining it, and the benefits of explaining it; and second, the ways in which it is explained, etc. First, the reason for explaining is: The Great Orgyen said, "In order to take care of those with initial karma, from the profound source and history of the pith instructions, speak joyful words, thereby causing the disciple's mind to generate great faith." Second, the fault of not explaining is: In the Great Tantra Union of the Sun and Moon, it says, "If the meaning of the history is not explained, then for this definitive profound secret teaching, the fault of disbelief will occur." Second, the benefit of explaining is: In the Longsal, it says, "The lineage is particularly distinguished, and certainty arises because the pith instructions are profound." Second, the way in which the actual history is explained is: As it is said, "The forms of the Buddhas who appeared in the past...
