Approximately twenty-four thousand five hundred monks gather, while others are uncertain. In general, the emergence of the two monasteries is as follows: from the Earth Horse year of the twelfth Rabjung cycle until now, the lineage of the great former rulers has granted all powers, including the final ultimatum, and bestowed the title "Koushi." The outstanding Khen Rinpoche Jamyang Lobsang Tenpai Gyaltsen, who is proficient in the vast ocean of Sutra and Tantra terminology, as the master and servant of the combined monastery, has developed the rules and regulations for teaching, studying, and chanting rituals, and will continue to do so in the future. Furthermore, in the lower regions of China and Mongolia, the teachings of Je Tsongkhapa have flourished, and some monasteries have emerged. Among the great lamas who propagated the teachings of Je Tsongkhapa, the famous ones include the two incarnations of Jetsun Dampa, Changkya Rinpoche, Zaya Pandita, Kanjurwa Nomohan, Biyi Tu Nomohan, and many others. They created the conditions for initially establishing the lineage. Now, it is said that the reincarnation of Changkya Rinpoche and the reincarnation of the Golden Throne Rinpoche, through the dual system of politics and religion, are promoting and developing the general Buddhist teachings and the teachings of Je Tsongkhapa himself. In particular, the previous incarnation of Changkya Rinpoche made great contributions through his writings. Moreover, now in the northern Oslo region, the teachings of Je Tsongkhapa have flourished and developed, so much so that even if a real Buddha were to appear now, it seems that there would be nothing more to do. All of this is also due to the kindness of the venerable Manjushri. In general, the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha in all directions are mainly held by the incarnations of the three protectors, Avalokiteshvara, Vajrapani, and Manjushri. In the Indian region of Oddiyana and Zambala, it is the incarnation of Vajrapani; in Tibet and the Han-Mongolian regions, it is held by numerous incarnations of Avalokiteshvara and Manjushri. In particular, the master and disciples Tsongkhapa, the Panchen Lamas, and the successive Dalai Lamas are recognized as incarnations of these two bodhisattvas and hold the teachings. From the perspective of the Tibetan kings, the Dharma kings Songtsen Gampo, Trisong Detsen, Tri Rel, and others also held the teachings.

The later Desi Sangye Gyatso and the one now known as Miwang, it is said that they made the general teachings and especially the teachings of Je Rinpoche flourish. Ema! In the pure Shakya doctrine's vast city of activities, when the sun of Lobsang Gyalwa rises, together with the wise and radiant ones, the disciples of Je Tsongkhapa spread everywhere like stars. Even just stating the names of all those, if it turns into many texts, then what need is there to say that individually narrating their biographies and religious histories would turn into huge books? Therefore, even if feeling lazy about such narration, I have recorded with faith the main monasteries of my own tradition, Sera, Drepung, Gaden, etc., and some monastery names and lineage of lamas in the U-Tsang region, with a little bit of added meaning. May the Ganges of goodness obtained from that, together with the river of pure virtue of the three times, ripen in the field of temporary higher realms, and ultimately merge into the ocean of omniscience. Thus, this work called "A Lamp Clearly Showing the Origin of the Holders of the Gaden Mountain Teachings, Together with the Lineage of Teachers Holding the Teachings," was written with faith by the Shakya monk Drakpa Shedrup, who claims to have heard many scriptures, at the age of seventy, in the intercalary month of the Wood Mouse year at the end of the twelfth Rabjung, in the Chone Monastery itself, and the scribe was Ta'i Lhalung Lobsang Dondrup. Mangalam! Mangalam! A Lamp Clearly Showing the Religious History of the Gaden Mountain Teachings, Together with the Lineage of Teachers.
