I prostrate to that capable one, the lord, who is revered at the lotus feet of the one with the golden womb, the blue-necked one, the white lotus eye, the one with a thousand eyes, the bodiless lord, the king of stars, the friend of the lotus, and others. I will write with devotion a brief account of the Dharma, related to the royal lineages, of how the teachings of that Victorious One arose in India and Tibet, and of the successive holy beings who appeared in the past and present. It has three parts: first, how the royal lineages arose in India in ancient times; second, how they arose after that; and third, how they arose in Tibet. First: The royal lineage of the "Many Honored" is explained in the Extensive Play, the Manifestation, the Vinaya-agama, the Establishment of the World, and so forth, and there are some differences in names and some differences in length and brevity. Here, I will briefly state it as it appears in the Vinaya-agama. The first people of the kalpa were born miraculously, lived for immeasurable years, ate joy as food, and had many special qualities such as having light in their own bodies. Later, as their lifespan and power of karma gradually decreased and the light of their bodies faded, the sun, moon, and stars arose from the common karma of sentient beings. After that, when uncultivated crops appeared, stealing occurred, and after much deliberation, those sentient beings appointed a person with merit as king. Therefore, he was known as the "Many Honored" king. His son was Light Splendor, his son was Good, his son was Supreme Good, his son was Uposatha Supreme, his son was born from a pore on the crown of his head, Nga Le Nu, who was the king who ruled the continent. From a pore on the right thigh of King Nga Le Nu was born Beautiful, and from a pore on the left thigh was born Near Beautiful, the former ruling three continents and the latter ruling two continents. From a pore on the ankle of Near Beautiful was born Possessing Beauty, who ruled one continent. At this time, people lived for 40,000 years, and it is said that the Buddha Krakucchanda appeared. From a pore on the sole of Near Beautiful's foot
