It is very reasonable. Even if one tries to surpass with the talent of a young child, What else can happen other than being carried away by the waves of error? The confident wise men of the sacred land of India, Have long entered and frolicked in the vast ocean of Sanskrit. Like a person tormented by thirst. In the past, in Tibet as well, regarding this principle of sound, many learned scholars have appeared who were well-versed in it. Now, only grasping a part of it, a person who fully understands is like a star in the daytime. Just as a rabbit cannot cross the ocean by swimming and running, How could someone with my inferior intellect, fully understand this meaning on their own? However, by the power of having tasted a little of the stream of wise men's good explanations and instructions, With the motivation of thinking that it might slightly benefit some others, I have spread a portion in the form of writing. By the virtue arising from making a little effort in this way, may I, Quickly obtain the supreme wisdom that correctly understands each definition. Like Saraswati and the youthful six-faced Kumara, May I reach the other shore of the great ocean of grammar. This was done by the Shakya monk named Shedrup, who received a little guidance on the Saraswati grammar from the great Khenpo Serje Rinchen Dondrup. Since no one in this area has been interested in this subject, most of what I knew roughly before has disappeared into dualistic appearances. However, reviving a little memory, with the thought that it might benefit one or two others, I have learned a little about the system of commentary on the two sandhi sutras, and compiled this from them. May this become a cause for those who are interested to engage in this principle through hearing and thinking. Mangalam! May virtue and goodness increase! Shubham! The Fifth Chapter on Sandhi, the Divine Path for the Entrance of Intelligent Seekers.
