It will be like that, thinking that the way the metaphor and meaning are combined above is reasonable. This is a difficult point, although it needs to be understood. But here, due to concerns about being too extensive, it will not be explained in detail. It is okay to say a little. Just as there is no snake on the rope, but it appears as if there is a snake. I and other beings, on our own basis of imputation, although non-existent in our own right, appear to exist. These two are from the perspective of the similarity of metaphor and meaning. It is not said that the snake on the rope and I, etc., on the basis of imputation, aggregates, etc., are combined in terms of the similarity of existence and non-existence in name. Because there is a difference between these two in terms of whether they are harmed or not harmed by nominal valid cognition. The existence of a snake on the rope is harmed by nominal valid cognition. The existence of the dharma of I, etc., on the basis of imputation, aggregates, etc., is not harmed by nominal valid cognition. The first existence is not in accordance with the worldly name or common agreement. The second existence is in accordance with the worldly name and is commonly agreed upon. Although worldly people admit existence as existence, and admit non-existence as non-existence, it is not all-pervasive, but existence and non-existence are established in reliance on the worldly name and common agreement. As the Protector Nagarjuna said: The Buddha speaks according to worldly conventions, not according to ultimate truth. Chandrakirti also said: As it exists in the world as it is well-known. For these reasons. Although the Buddha made the distinctions of names in accordance with worldly people, worldly people think that those are inherently existent. Therefore, the Buddha showed that those are inherently non-existent, and that is the point of contention. As it is said in the Collection Sutra: Sentient beings delight in places and desire objects. They abide in grasping, like the unwise, foolish, ignorant, and dark. The dharma to be attained is without place and without grasping. Therefore, disputes arise with the world. Also, as it is said in the Ratnakuta Sutra: Kashyapa, the world disputes with me, but I do not dispute with the world. For these reasons. The worldly name that is in accordance is not just referring to the arbitrary name of worldly people, but to the nominal valid cognition possessed by noble beings. In short, the sutra says: Just as the collection of limbs, relying on the tree,

As it is said about a chariot. Similarly, relying on the aggregates, it is called a conventional sentient being. Just as the individual parts and the collection of parts of a chariot are not the chariot, but relying on them, the name 'chariot' is conventionally valid. Similarly, the individual aggregates and the collection of aggregates, etc., are not 'I,' but relying on them, it is conventionally valid, and this is also established by reasoning. Applying this method to all phenomena, it is extremely reasonable to establish all actions in emptiness of inherent existence, and one should seek a firm conviction about this. This method is a wonderful place, as stated in the Sutras, and also stated in the Tantras. In the fifteenth chapter of the Root Tantra of the Gathering: "Bhagavan, what is this? Although phenomena are without essence, all the suchness of phenomena is explained. Emaho, arising from wonder! In the sky, contemplate the sky." Also, in the second chapter, Explanation of the Bodhicitta, the venerable Nagarjuna says: "Knowing that all phenomena are empty, whatever relies on actions and results, this is more wonderful than wonder, this is more marvelous than marvel." Also, in the Praise of Dependent Arising: "These are all empty of essence, and from this, this result arises, these two certainties are mutually, without obstruction, friends. What is more wonderful than this? What is more marvelous than this?" Therefore, it is said. Saying: The Victorious Mother, the Perfections, gathers all the essential points of what is expressed, the Heart Sutra of Wisdom, which is very famous, the sun arises, clarifying its meaning. This is one who possesses discriminating wisdom and faith, dispelling the darkness of extremist views, and also showing the profound suchness, it is the second sun of good speech. He also holds the excellent tradition of the venerable Nagarjuna as it is, the second wise and victorious one, explaining the essential points of his intention. By my effort in this way, whatever pure virtue I have accumulated, may all beings realize the profound meaning and attain the state of the Victorious Ones. This was written at the strong urging of the venerable Drakpa Paljor, who possesses faith and discriminating wisdom, and at the urging of Drakpa Shedrup, a Shakya monk residing in the position of the Lama of the combined Sutra and Tantra of Cone, who prides himself on being a logician, a follower of the meaning of Madhyamaka.
