Because of the reason of equality, it is said that way. Second, explaining the collection of antidotes, from "On the paths of seeing and habituation" to "called eight kinds of antidotes." The meaning of the sentence is: The Mahayana's path of seeing and the path of meditation have eight kinds of antidotes, in order to pacify the knowable obscurations to be abandoned, the grasping conceptualization and the grasped conceptualization, because there are eight in terms of number. The reason is that each of the two, the innate and imputed knowable obscurations, has two kinds of afflictive grasping conceptualization and pure grasping conceptualization, and two kinds of substance-grasping conceptualization and imputation-grasping conceptualization, which are divided into eight separately. Tenth, explaining the accomplishment of renunciation, from "For the sake of benefit and equality" to "called the accomplishment of renunciation." If the meaning of the sentence is summarized, the wisdom of the pure land that is cultivated through the path of thought and action, which has the nature of the following eight kinds of renunciation, should be known as the accomplishment of renunciation, because it is the wisdom of the pure land that can effortlessly obtain omniscience. Knowable things have eight kinds of classifications arising from the accomplishment of renunciation, as mentioned before, there are three for the sake of benefit, and the compassion that directly realizes the equality of all dharmas as true emptiness, and the accomplishment of sentient beings' affairs, and the effortless accomplishment of that affair, and the definite renunciation from the edge of samsara and nirvana, and the definite renunciation of the nature of obtaining all the lineages to be obtained by the three vehicles, and the omniscience that directly realizes all aspects of the ten dharmas, and the definite renunciation of the object of the special path of that omniscience, there are eight in total. If this is the directly shown definite renunciation, then it does not pervade the accomplishment of definite renunciation, because the first seven definite renunciations are not the accomplishment of definite renunciation. The reason is that the first seven must be established on the ground of the Buddha, and the last one must be established on the special path of the tenth bhumi bodhisattva. The reason is that the Golden Garland says: "There are seven on the path of no more learning, and one on the path of learning, which is the lineage."

This was written at the urging of others by the Shakya monk named Shedrup, mainly based on his own documents, and with the thought of benefiting others as well. The reason for this is the thought that if the meaning of the root words is explained, the benefit will be even greater. Later, the Langli monk named Jamyang Donyo, who possessed faith and wisdom, at the time of receiving the title "Master of the Teachings," with the pure intention of benefiting others, facilitated the printing. May all beings in all lifetimes be cared for by the venerable Maitreya, the protector, through the merit of this. Mangalam! Explanation of the words of the first chapter from the compilation of explanations of the commentary on the Ornament for Clear Realization.
