The Method of Accomplishment of the Sole Heroic Vajrabhairava, the Subjugator of the Maras. The Method of Accomplishment of the Sole Heroic Vajrabhairava, the Subjugator of the Maras. Herein is the Method of Accomplishment of the Sole Heroic Vajrabhairava, called "The Subjugator of the Maras." Namo Guru Manjughoshaya. To the Lords of Death, Yamaraja, outer, inner, and secret; To Manjushri the Hero, the complete destroyer; Having bowed to the feet of the inseparable venerable Guru, I shall explain the method of accomplishing the Sole Heroic Vajrabhairava. Here, regarding the way to practice the method of accomplishing the Sole Heroic Vajrabhairava as a constant yoga, there are two versions, extensive and concise. The extensive one is like the explanation by Changkya Zhapdrung of the method of accomplishment "Victorious over the Maras," composed by Je Tsongkhapa himself. The extremely concise one is as it appears in the collected works of the previous Panchen Lama. Here, it is explained somewhat extensively by condensing the former and supplementing the meaning of the latter. Having gathered the yogic implements such as the damaru and the outer and inner offerings, either take refuge and generate bodhicitta as usual, or recite one shloka such as "I take refuge in the Three Jewels" three times beforehand. Instantly, transform yourself into the glorious Vajrabhairava, with one face and two arms, holding a curved knife and a skull cup. The extensive blessing of the inner offering: Om Hrih Strih Vikritanana Hum Phat.
