Saying, "Kill the Arhat," he struck and killed with a vajra. A monk named Gerat killed a monk with disciples. So it is said. Then all the monks killed each other, and not one was left. At that time, the gods and nagas in the sky, and many other protectors of the Dharma, were displeased, and the tears of their weeping fell like rain of blood and fire. The sky turned yellow, black, and red. Lightning and great sounds also occurred. From the body of a star called Dhūmaketu, a black smoke arose, and the light of the sun and moon, and so on, disappeared. At that time, the gods of the Thirty-Three and the Mother of Illusion, and so on, came and mourned. They gathered all the colored robes of the Sangha and took them to the Thirty-Three. Then the king asked, "What is the cause of such a great commotion?" and (the ministers) reported, "The Sangha has become conflicted and killed each other." The king was displeased and arose. In the early morning, he went to see the outer temple and saw that some monks were beheaded, some had their arms and legs cut off, and some had their eyes gouged out. Seeing them dead in various ways, he was filled with sorrow. He searched for the corpses of the Arhat and the Tripitaka master with disciples, placed them under his left and right armpits, and said, "The Arhat is not mine, the Tripitaka master is the treasure of the Dharma. Now that these two have passed away, my life is no longer precious. I will give the kingdom to whoever wants it." Having said this, he closed his eyes and would not look. Then, in order to dispel the king's sorrow, the ministers pretended to ordain five hundred men. They shaved their hair and beards, but the razor could not cut them, so they burned them with fire. They dressed them in yellow and red animal hides and came before the king and reported, "Five hundred ordained monks have come." The king was pleased and opened his eyes to look. He saw that they were all wearing animal hides and that their hair and beards had been burned with fire. He then ordered that offerings to the Three Jewels be brought and made offerings to them. Then the king asked them about the Dharma, but they did not know a single word of the Dharma, and the king wept again in sorrow. Then, the corpses of the monks...

Having gathered everything together, they will burn and make offerings. At that time, the excellent Dharma of Jambudvipa will disappear. Then, gold will turn into inferior silver and stone, and silver will turn into inferior copper and stone. Copper will turn into bronze, and pearls will turn into horns. Of the six tastes, only astringent and sour will remain. So it is said. According to the prophecies of Geden Pel and others, the physical representations (of the Buddha), etc., will be invited to the land of the Nagas. All letters will disappear on their own. All clothes will become coarse. Except for astringent and bitter tastes, all precious jewels will disappear, and that king will die of grief over the disappearance of the Dharma. These things are said with the assumption that the Dharma will last for two thousand years. In the commentary on the Ornament for Clear Realization by Chokyi Beshenyen (Dharma Friend), it is clearly stated that these things have already happened. In general, the cause of the Dharma's disappearance is the exhaustion of the Buddha's prayers and the decrease of those to be tamed by the Dharma. The conditions, as stated in the sutras, are that the Dharma will disappear due to three things: monks and nuns degenerating from their own views and practices, patrons losing faith in the Dharma, and demons, demonic deities, and pretas causing obstacles. It is said that the first two causes of the destruction of the teachings of this teacher (Shakyamuni Buddha) are clear. Regarding the time of disappearance, it is said that it will disappear when the lifespan is forty years. Chakna says it will be at thirty, but no evidence is seen. In the White Lotus of Compassion Sutra, it says that after the excellent Dharma of the Tathagata Shakyamuni disappears, the relics of the Buddha will go down to the end of the golden earth. When the world of Saha is impoverished of jewels, those relics will become jewels called "Vairochana Top Wisdom," which will eliminate poverty. Then, those relics will rise up to Akanishta, raining down various kinds of flowers. From those rains of flowers, various sounds of Dharma will arise, including the sound of the Three Jewels. When the gods of the desire and form realms hear those sounds of Dharma, they will remember the virtues they performed in the past, and then they will descend to Jambudvipa, causing people to abide in the ten virtues. And the flowe
