Firstly, it is the basis of discussion, the agreement and approval of the Dharma to be explained, meaning that the words and meaning are complete. Some Mchims-pa (a name) say this. It is related to the meaningful Dharma to be expressed, its function is to abandon the afflictions of the three realms, and its result is the expression that shows the benefit of peace, the main condition of which is that it arises from the actions of the Buddha. As stated in the Uttaratantra, \"Whatever is closely related to meaningful Dharma, the speech that abandons afflictions from all three realms, and whatever makes known the benefit of peace, that is the speech of a sage, the opposite is otherwise.\"\nSecondly, regarding sound and meaning. In Sanskrit, it is \"Subhāṣita.\" \"Su\" (藏文,सु,梵文罗马拟音) has five meanings, but here it means \"good.\" \"Bhāṣita\" (藏文,भाषित,梵文罗马拟音) means \"spoken,\" so \"well-spoken\" is Bka'. If one asks how it is well-spoken, it is well-spoken in ten ways. In the Commentary on Reasoning, it says, \"How is it well-spoken? It is in ten ways: by correctly taking, by empowering, by entering, by being fully endowed, by fully distinguishing, by being the basis, by making understood, by establishing, by timing, and by fully holding qualities.\" Its meaning is that it is spoken after complete enlightenment in sequence; because it is spoken by empowering all sentient beings; not occasionally, but repeatedly and continuously; because the teacher did not hide anything, nor did he cause any obstacles to anyone, but spoke correctly; because it is spoken correctly according to the minds of sentient beings; because it is spoken correctly with the five branches of melodious sound; because it is spoken in such a way that one melodious sound makes limitless realms of the world understand; because it is spoken correctly to make all the mandalas of the retinue understand; because it is spoken of the path that abandons the two extremes; because it is spoken to those who are fully ripened trainees; because it is spoken with sixty branches of melodious sound. So, what are the sixty branches of melodious sound? They are the virtues of the realm of sentient beings." } ] ============================================================

Because it makes the root close, it is soft. Because it touches the happiness of the seen Dharma, it is gentle. Because the meaning is good, it is pleasing. Because the letters are good, it is agreeable. Because it is obtained from the unsurpassed result of transcendence, it is pure. Because it is free from all the habitual tendencies of afflictive sleep, it is immaculate. Because the words and letters are widely known, it is extremely clear. Because it possesses the power and qualities to destroy all the views of evil intelligence of the heretics, it is melodious and pleasant. Because it possesses the characteristic of definitely arising through practice, it is worthy of being heard. Because it is not defeated by all the attacks of opponents, it is invincible. Because it makes everyone happy, it is pleasant. Because it is the antidote to attachment and so on, it is subdued. Because the method of establishing precepts is easy, it is not harsh. Because it transcends these and correctly shows the method of liberation, it is unshakeable. Because it shows the discipline of all three vehicles, it is extremely subdued. Because it is the antidote to distraction, it is pleasing to the ear. Because it generates samadhi, it satisfies the body. Because it causes the great joy of insight to arise, it calms the mind. Because it cuts off doubt, it gladdens the heart. Because it eliminates wrong and uncertain views, it generates joy and happiness. Because there is no regret in practice, it is completely without suffering. Because it is the basis of the perfection arising from hearing, it should be fully known. Because it is the basis of the perfection of knowledge arising from thought, it should be distinguished. Because the teacher teaches the Dharma without concealing the example, it is extremely clear. Because it makes those who have attained their own benefit happy, it is pleasing. Because those who have not attained their own benefit should be happy, it is extremely pleasing. Because it correctly shows the inconceivable Dharma, it is omniscient. Because it correctly shows the inconceivable Dharmas, it should be distinguished. Because it does not contradict valid cognition, it is logical. Because it shows how to be reasonable to those to be tamed, it is relevant.
