That Dharma which has the nature of the two truths, and cessation itself, which is freedom from attachment, are all included in the truth of the path. As stated in the Uttaratantra. Among them, that which is free from attachment is the truth of cessation, and what makes one free from attachment? It is the truth of the path. Among the two, the nature of the truth of cessation is that it focuses on Suchness, where defiled things cease. In the Compendium, it says: "That which focuses on Suchness, where defiled things cease, that is the nature of cessation." So it is said. That is also the abandonment of learners and non-learners, as well as the nirvana without remainder, and the Dharmakaya of the Buddha according to the Mahayana system. The nature of the truth of the path is the method of manifesting cessation, with undefiled wisdom and its retinue. In the Treasury, it says: "The truth of the undefiled path." Or in the Uttaratantra, it says: "The side of purity and clarity, the antidote itself." So it is said. That is also the three undefiled paths of seeing, meditating, and non-learning. The truth of the Mahayana path is considered to be the path of seeing and the path of meditation in the Uttaratantra. The two, accumulation and preparation, are the retinue of the truth of the path. The nature of the Dharma of scripture is: the expression that leads to the Dharma of realization. That includes the habitual tendencies arising from elaboration, and the expressions arising from the common cause of the realm of Dharma. The first is: various talks about horses and elephants, etc., because it is in accordance with the Dharma of samsara, it is also called worldly expression. The second is: the twelve branches of scripture, which are said to arise from the common cause of realizing the nature of Dharma, or from the common cause of realizing the realm of Dharma. In the Middle Extremes, it says: "The supreme nature of the common cause." In the Commentary on Meaning Clarity, it says: "Becoming the common cause of the realm of Dharma." Pandit Sunyashri said: "All Dharmas have the root of realizing emptiness, just as three birds, small, medium, and large, fly in the sky, the three bodhis are attained by realizing the selflessness of persons and the selflessness of what is grasped, and by realizing both selflessnesses." So it is said. That is in accordance with the Dharma of Nirvana, so it is called transcendental expression. From Nirvana, four great rivers flow into the ocean, flowing, pouring, in the same way all Dharmas flow into Nirvana, flowing, pouring, so it is said.

La. There are three types of Dharma: realization, scripture, or the Dharma of results, the Dharma of practice, and the Dharma of explanation. The first is Nirvana, which is characterized by the complete pacification of all suffering with its causes. There are seven types of pacification: birth, aging, death, meeting, separation, not obtaining what is desired, and the pacification of the suffering of the aggregates. Alternatively, there are four impermanent things: what is accumulated will eventually be exhausted, the body will eventually decay, meeting will eventually lead to separation, and life will eventually end in death. This is a reversal of the four impermanent things. The Dharma of practice is the path, which is the perfection of qualities that leads to the attainment of the Dharma of results. It has four perfections: it leads to the city of Nirvana, not to the city of Samsara, so it is non-existent; it is connected to Nirvana, without interruption and unchanging, so it is continuous; it is not stolen by thieves such as desire, so it is harmless; and it is endowed with food that delights in the Dharma, so it is the perfection of nearness. The Dharma of explanation is the perfection that clarifies the Dharma of the path. It has four functions: it is the path, so it is close to hearing; this is the path, and others are not, so it is certain; mindfulness and so on are the causes of the path, so it clarifies its collection; and defilements, karma, and the obscurations of life are obstacles to the path, so it clearly shows the obscurations. These are explained in the Explanation of Dependent Arising. That Dharma of explanation can be divided into two types: the words of the Buddha and the treatises. As it is said: All Dharmas are contained in the words of the Buddha and the treatises, the well-spoken words and their interpretations. By its power, the teachings of Shakya will remain in this world for a long time. So it is said. The Words of the Buddha. First, the Words of the Buddha have three aspects: characteristics, sound, and meaning. The first is the introduction, the Dharma to be explained, consistent transformation, and subsequent rejoicing. Some wise people say that the words and meanings are perfect. What is expressed is related to the Dharma that has meaning, and its function is to abandon the defilements of the three realms, and the result is the benefit of peace.
