Fifth, the biography of Jetsun, the King of Accomplished Ones, Milarepa: Fifth, the biography of Jetsun, the King of Accomplished Ones, Milarepa: His birthplace was in Mangyul Gungtang, at Kya-nga Tsa's Koron, of the Kyongpo clan. His father was Mila Sherab Gyaltsen, and his mother was Nyangtsa Karlek. He was born in the Iron Male Dragon year with wondrous signs. Three years later, his sister Peta Gonkyi was born. Jetsun was given the name Thöpa Ga. It is said that the name Mila comes from an ancestor of the clan named Mila Tsata, who subdued a demon, and thus the name became the family's surname. When Jetsun was seven years old, his father passed away. His paternal relatives, such as his uncle Yungyal and aunt Palden, were numerous. They said, "We will take care of the property and not let you three suffer." So they took charge of the property. Later, when the son Thöpa Ga grew up a bit, the mother gathered her paternal relatives and villagers and held a feast, saying, "My son and Lekse Chung are engaged, and now it's about time for them to start a household. Please have mercy and give them all the property, or at least his rightful share." But they said, "What we provided before was not a true gift. The property was lent to you, so there is nothing to return. You mother and son can do as you please, either with a large force or with magic." With that, they left menacingly. At that time, there was a teacher at Tsa'i Mitok, and Thöpa Ga was sent to learn reading and writing. The mother and uncle became friends with Lekse's father. Thöpa Ga became skilled in reading and writing. After some time, the mother said, "After we mother and son lost our property, they threatened us, saying either with a large force or with magic. We are weak and powerless, you must use magic, or else go wherever you please. I am going back to my father's home." So Thöpa Ga agreed to use magic. The mother sold a piece of land and obtained a horse named Khampa Terak and four ounces of dye. She loaded the dye and flour onto the horse and sent him off with six people who were learning magic. At Kyilwai Dtonka, the mother said, "Son, you must be diligent. If the magic is effective, I will send you whatever I obtain." She also instructed the companions, "My son does not know the difference between enemies and friends, please have mercy on him." They set off together and asked which magic was the most powerful.

I came down from Tsang, and heard that Yarlung Nyak Yungton Che was very famous. I went there and offered all the horses and possessions I had. I studied magic for a year. When my friends were about to leave, I escorted them to the crossroads. Since I had no signs of magic in my hometown and had nowhere to go, on the way back, I poured all the horse manure I could find into the lama's field. The lama saw it and was pleased. He asked who I was, and I told him my previous experiences in detail. The lama felt compassion and said, "Then, take my so-called 'Planet Face Red Black' and offer it to Nub Chung. He gave me the secret instruction of guiding hail, so now I will send you there." He sent a white horse called 'Famous in the Void' and some Pulu fabrics, and sent me along with his son. I offered the offerings to Nub and requested him. He gave me a book and told me to memorize it. After that, I went into retreat with one of his sons and completed it in a month. There, he told me to send two fast-running Sengdeng Vajra Kilayas to my mother, and have them plant them in their castle in many ways. At that time, a maid saw a pillar as big as an ox yoke being pulled up. At the wedding feast of the uncle's son, the outsiders left, but the insiders had not yet left, and twenty-five people died under the foundation of the house. The villagers knew it was Mila's magic and secretly agreed not to let anyone kill him. The wife of the chief of that place, when the venerable parents were reunited, the servant poisoned the venerable's mother. The mother also gave this as a reward to a yogi, and unknowingly hid seven taels of gold in the poison, covered with a black cloth. The letter said: Son, your magic has succeeded, I know it. The villagers are plotting to kill you, so be careful. Send another hailstorm to this village, and then your wishes will be fulfilled. If you break the oath, to the west of the great mountain, in the place covered with dark clouds, there are seven relatives, go there to find them, and if you don't know, ask the yogi. I understood the mistress's instructions and took the gold from the poison. I asked to send a hailstorm, and he said, "I also know hail, but it will break the oath, so go to the Dakini." After that, I went to Nyak in Yarlung and asked, and he agreed. I and one of Nyak's sons entered the retreat room and practiced hail.
