When the tutelary deity appears at the time of death, or when the vision of the tutelary deity arises in the bardo, one is reborn at the feet of the Sambhogakaya Buddha or attains the siddhi of the Khechara. If one shifts to the experience of bliss, clarity, and non-thought, entering into samadhi, one is reborn as a god in the three realms. If one shifts to the samadhi of the guru's clear light, one attains clear light. If one shifts to the samadhi of the guru's spontaneously accomplished union, the great seal, one attains the supreme siddhi. "Relying on the guru" means not separating even for a moment with a mind of devotion and respect. Just by doing that, one's own perception arises as the guru. Both the supreme and common siddhis arise from that. The person who wishes to listen to the Dharma is a vessel. A flawed vessel is one that is upside down with a broken bottom. A poisonous one is an earthenware vessel. "A flawless lineage" refers to the lineage of a person, such as Utpala (藏文,梵文天城体,utpala,梵文罗马拟音,Utpala), lotus, sandalwood, and jewel. Therefore, one can obtain a body and is very skilled at grasping, and can express it in an instant. This is the so-called Utpala Even if one obtains many objects to be grasped, one does not have the ability to explain, like cotton in a vase. This is the so-called white lotus person. One who has faith and knows compassion, and whose mind opens upon hearing, flowing like pure milk, is the so-called lotus person. One who hears little and is arrogant, speaks much without foundation, and cannot be retained, is the so-called sandalwood person. A truly good vessel is: one who has discipline, is virtuous and stable, has great wisdom and a straightforward mind, and can explain well after hearing, is like a jewel. "Faith" refers to clear faith, desiring faith, and believing faith. "Diligence" means delighting in virtue. "Reliance" means cutting off greatly. Generating the three vows means the Pratimoksha, Bodhisattva. Vidyadhara, the three vows are of one essence, that is, abandoning what should be abandoned and relying on what should be relied upon. If in the Pratimoksha one engages in desire, one is defeated. If in Secret Mantra one does not rely on a woman, the two falls contradict each other, how should this be explained? It is also that abandoning what should be abandoned and relying on what should be relied upon are of one essence. "Wisdom" refers to innate wisdom and cultivated wisdom. Innate wisdom is present in all sentient beings.

The clear awareness that perceives all phenomena of samsara and nirvana distinctly and without confusion is pure awareness. There are three types of wisdom gained through learning: listening, contemplating, and meditating. The term "antidote" means that by hearing the Dharma, each of the three Great Vehicles must become an antidote. Although the Great Vehicle of Secret Mantra does not require an antidote to abandon what is to be abandoned, that which is to be abandoned must appear as the wisdom of the antidote itself. If it does not become an antidote, then the Dharma becomes an addition to afflictions, giving rise to pride and stiffening one's own mind. Virtues do not arise because the antidote itself has become poison. On the hill of pride, the water of virtue does not accumulate. What a beginner should practice: Death means that because there are many examples of past deaths, death is certain, and so on. Impermanence means that having been born, one day becomes closer to death, so it is impermanent. In general, all conditioned phenomena are impermanent because they are created. Impermanence pervades what is created, but what is created is not impermanent. The first moment of creation is established, and the second moment arises, so it is impermanent. However, the creation established in the first moment is not impermanent. Although the mind is constant and continuous, because of the appearance of conceptual thoughts and the three poisons, it becomes self-thought of delusion, and by doing various non-virtuous actions, it is also impermanent because it takes various bodies in the six realms of existence. Although the mind is primordially spontaneously accomplished as the Dharmakaya, it also shows the nature of the Rupakaya as impermanent. Abandon even the smallest sins, and accomplish even the smallest virtues. Regarding sins and non-virtue, be like fearing a shau bird. In this way, in the Lesser Vehicle path, it is crucial to renounce samsara. To walk the path of liberation, one must have renunciation. One must realize both the selflessness of phenomena and the ultimate peace. Loving-kindness and compassion: Although loving-kindness is mentioned first in order, it is said that compassion should be cultivated first. If compassion does not arise, loving-kindness will not arise. It is said that if suffering is not removed, happiness will not arise. If one cultivates loving-kindness, one desires happiness. In this, loving-kindness and attachment have the same essence, but different functions. The object of arising attachment and the object of arising loving-kindness are both pleasing. Both oneself and others want to experience happiness. However, the function of attachment creates samsara, and the function of loving-kindness transcends nirvana.
