I also bathe with water. Recite Kamkani, and scrub with sesame seeds and other things. Bathe with water, fire, and wind. The three poisons of desire, anger, and ignorance. These three are the three poisons of the deceased. The supreme Dharma nectar has no poison. The supreme Dharma conquers poison with truth. Om Kamkani etc. are recited, and scrubbed with sesame seeds and other things. Bathe with earth, water, fire, and wind. The three poisons of desire, anger, and ignorance. These three are the three poisons of the deceased. The noble Sangha has no poison. The Sangha conquers poison with truth. Om Kamkani is recited. Earth is the father of poison, and earth is also the mother of poison. By reciting this true word of truth, may the three poisons enter the earth. Om Kamkani Kamkani, Rochani Rochani etc. are recited and scrubbed. Water is the father of poison, and water is also the mother of poison. By reciting this true word of truth, may the three poisons enter the water. Om Kamkani is recited. Washed with water. Fire is the father of poison, and fire is also the mother of poison. By reciting this true word of truth, may the three poisons enter the fire. Om Kamkani is recited and scrubbed. Wind is the father of poison, and wind is also the mother of poison. By reciting this true word of truth, may the three poisons enter the wind. Om Kamkani is recited, and fanned with wind. By doing so, contemplate that the sins and obscurations of the deceased's body, speech, and mind are purified. By this, obscurations are purified, and the scriptures say that obscurations are eliminated. The sign of the purification of obscurations is: after being liberated from the lower realms, the practitioner actually sees the deceased coming to circumambulate in a dream, saying "Good!", and then being reborn in the heavens. Second, taking refuge, generating Bodhicitta, and empowerment. First, accumulating merit for the deceased: By offering to the mandala deities, for the sake of all limitless sentient beings, to abandon the abyss of the lower realms, and to obtain pure Buddha-fields, I offer you the mandala, please accept it with compassion for the sake of beings. Om Sarva Tathagata Ratna Mandala Puja Megha Samudra Spharana Samaye Hum.
