Sitting like a mother, one should offer a vast offering of gratitude. Then, one should recite verses of requesting forgiveness: Whatever I have done slightly out of foolishness and ignorance, I beseech you, protectors, saviors of beings, to forgive. O Lord, for what is powerless, incomplete, and unobtained, whatever faults have been committed here, I beseech you, protectors, to forgive. Then, one should recite verses of dedicating the root of virtue: In the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, I take refuge until enlightenment. By this root of virtue of mine, may I attain Buddhahood for the benefit of beings. Then, making aspirations: May all sentient beings be without sin, may all sentient beings be happy, may they be liberated by themselves, and may they meet with Buddhahood. Then, requesting the wisdom beings within the mandala to depart: Always peaceful and increasing, extremely excellent for the great benefactor, I request you to go to the Buddha-field and then come again. Om, may you accomplish all the benefits of sentient beings, grant the appropriate attainments, I request you to go to the Buddha-field and then come again for the benefit of sentient beings. Then, collecting the vases, one should bathe the benefactor and his entourage with the vase water. Then, one should offer auspicious substances such as wood apples, pomegranates, various fruits, as well as tsampa and various foods to the gods and people. Then, at this time, one should make offerings to the supports and offer a vast torma. Yogis should perform a feast offering, teach the Dharma to the ordained, and satisfy the people with food. To the preceptor who has been perfectly consecrated, one should make vast offerings of precious jewels, gold, silver, horses, and elephants, dedicate the root of virtue, and make aspirations. All those assembled there should recite auspicious verses. This is the consecration ritual for the Sugata's image. I have written down the oral instructions spoken by the lamas in a good order. I beseech the lamas to forgive my displeasure. By the virtue of writing the consecration ritual for all the supports of body, speech, and mind, and by the virtue accumulated and possessed in the three times, may I and all beings attain Buddhahood. By the blessing of attaining the three Kayas, and the blessing of the unchanging truth of Dharmata, and the blessing of the undivided harmony of the Sangha, the supreme of truths is the Three Jewels, by the blessing of the truth of the Three Jewels, may my prayers be fulfilled. The auspiciousness of the Kagyu Lamas, and the auspiciousness of the blessing of the root Lama, and the auspiciousness of the Lama who has accomplished love, who has realized the precious supreme of mind. The auspiciousness of the spontaneously accomplished Buddha of the five Kayas, and the auspiciousness of the Dharma of the sixty melodious sounds, and by the auspiciousness of the Sangha abiding on the Bhumis and Paths, may all conditions become the supreme auspiciousness. By building and offering representations and consecrating them, may limitless sentient beings, including the patrons, complete the two accumulations on the ground and path, and may they attain the auspiciousness of the fruit of the three Kayas. The seventh consecration ritual, "Auspicious Jewel Light," was well composed by Repa. May it be virtuous!
