A Guide to the Sacred Site of Kyodrak Sengge Dzong, the Principal Body Site of the Twenty-Five Great Sites of Do Kham A Guide to the Sacred Site of Kyodrak Sengge Dzong, the Principal Body Site of the Twenty-Five Great Sites of Do Kham A Catalogue by Orgyen Padmasambhava In the lower direction, there are twenty-five great sites, which are extensively described in the catalogue and explained here. The Tibetan land is called Lho Drak. The place called Kyo is like a conch, a lion, and a sky-piercer. The center of the site is called Sengge Dzong. Orgyen Padma, I practiced there for three months. At the entrance of the cave, there are signs of accomplishment and footprints. On the right rock is Avalokiteśvara, and on the left rock resides Vajravarahi. The right, left, and center exist in the form of Om (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Om). Three treasures needed for the general Tibetan land are hidden separately. Twenty treasures under separate control are hidden. Ten treasures that can be taken out at will are hidden. A Catalogue by Kongtrul Yonten Gyatso Thus, the first of the twenty-five great sites of Do Kham, the principal body site, is called Kyo, widely known as Dza Chu Pari Kyodrak Sengge Dzong. A Guide to the Sacred Site by Namchö Mingyur Dorje Namo Guru Padma Raja Sarva Siddhi Hum (Tibetan: ན་མོ་གུ་རུ་པདྨ་རཱ་ཛ་སརྦ་སིདྡྷི་ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: नमो गुरु पद्म राज सर्व सिद्धि हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: namo guru padma rāja sarva siddhi hūṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Homage to the Guru, Lotus King, All Accomplishment, Hum). I prostrate and take refuge in the lotus feet of the emanation of the glorious Samantabhadra, the universal ancestor of all Buddhas of the three times, the glorious Padmasambhava. I pray that you always care for and bless me with great compassion. Padmasambhava, the regent of the Buddhas, the vidyadhara Mingyur Dorje, compiles the general outline of Kham and the visions of the sacred site, gathering auspicious circumstances before it is too late. May the great guardian deity of the sacred site, the great benefactor, unlock the seals. When Orgyen Rinpoche came to Tibet, he traveled every inch of the land. Especially in the snowy land of Tibet, he hid four great countries in the four directions, and the biographies of his practice in twenty-one great snow mountains, one hundred and eight practice places, etc., are clearly stated in the instructions. The great prophecy "Kagyama" says: Some emanations of the Buddhas naturally appear as emanations of body, speech, and mind in lands, rocks, mountains, cliffs, roads, etc. Seeing, hearing, and connecting with them, there is no lower realm. The direction is uncertain, the direction

and all boundaries, etc. Because there is no near or far, they will appear everywhere. Likewise, the time of appearance is uncertain. There is no limit to the place, until the end of the world. As it is said in the biography of Orgyen Rinpoche, "The Golden Garland," a terma of Ratna Lingpa: "The entire land of Tibet, led by Chimphu, from below Mount Kailash, Kham Tsangba, Lchin Brag, the Five Peak Mountain of China, Gan, Jiang, Hu, and Mi-nyak, Hor, Li-yul, Drugu, Kongpo, Gya-la, Mon Tak-go, Bumthang, Pa-dro, etc., are all places of practice. All the terma sites and lands are blessed, and all beings are placed in maturation and liberation." As it is said, in the kingdom of snowy Tibet, there are five lands blessed by the great Orgyen, three regions, four continents, twenty-one great snow mountains, eight places of accomplishment, twenty-five supreme and wonderful places, one hundred and eight great sacred places, and one thousand and two minor sacred places. In these places, there are blessed body representatives, written representatives, stupas and relics that are the support of the mind, jewels that are the support of merit, and many hidden treasures of samaya substances for the maturation and liberation of activities. Among these places, the most special is the right side of Zla Spyi 'Byams, one of the eight great places of accomplishment, also known as Brag Seng Ge Gnam Mchongs (Rock Lion Leaping to the Sky), also known as Ri Bo Gar Mdzad (Dancing Mountain). The history of how this sacred place was opened is: The incarnate Mi-gyur Dorje, was prophesied in many termas, and in the Middle Length Northern Teachings, it is said: "Vajra internal strife, is a place of war. The guru offering on the crown, becomes the leader of the masses. When power and poisonous diseases and internal strife spread, self-arisen stupas are offered, a place called Spyi 'Byams. The terma of the white rock leaping to the sky (Brag dkar gnam mchongs) on the right, will appear with the sign of being taken out without leaving it behind. The tertön named Mi-gyur Dorje will come. He will have power over a hundred termas in the Kham region." And, in the prophecy of Ratna Lingpa, it is said: "In the place called Spyi 'Byams in Kham, the tertön Mi-gyur Dorje will come. He will take out all the termas of that sacred place. He will have power over a hundred termas in Kham. On the right side of that sacred place, like a vast mandala spread out. In the center, the king of mountains, Mount Sumeru, is like white.
