(B) Or again, where the male faculty will not arise, does the eye faculty not arise there for him/her? For those in their last existence, for those reappearing in the sense-sphere, for those reappearing in the form-sphere, and for those women who, by this same condition, having shown a few existences, will attain Nibbana, for them reappearing, for them there the male faculty will not arise, but for them there the eye faculty does not not arise. For those attaining Nibbana in the sense-sphere, for those departing from the form-sphere, for non-percipient beings, for formless beings, and for those women who, by this same condition, having shown a few existences, will attain Nibbana, for them departing, for them there the male faculty will not arise, and the eye faculty does not arise. (A) Where the eye faculty does not arise, will the life faculty not arise there for him/her? For all departing, for those without eyes reappearing, for them there the eye faculty does not arise, but for them there the life faculty will not not arise. For those attaining Nibbana in the five-constituent existence, for those in their last existence in the formless realm, for them there the eye faculty does not arise, and the life faculty will not arise. (B) Or again, where the life faculty will not arise, does the eye faculty not arise there for him/her? For those in their last existence, for those reappearing in the five-constituent existence, for them there the life faculty does not arise. will arise, but for them there the eye faculty does arise. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the five-constituent existence, for those who are last-existents in the formless realm, for them there the life faculty will not arise and the eye faculty does not arise. (A) For whom, where the eye faculty does not arise, for him, there will the faculty of joy not arise? For those passing away from the five-constituent existence, for those without eyes, being reborn in the sense-sphere realm, for them there the eye faculty does not arise, but for them there the faculty of joy will arise. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the five-constituent existence, for the non-percipient beings, for the formless beings, and for those with eyes who, being reborn with equanimity, will attain final Nibbāna, for them passing away, for them there the eye faculty does not arise and the faculty of joy will not arise. (B) Or for whom, where the faculty of joy will not arise, for him, there does the eye faculty not arise? For those who are last-existents being reborn in the five-constituent existence, and for those with eyes who, being reborn with equanimity, will attain final Nibbāna, for them being reborn, for them there the faculty of joy will not arise, but for them there the eye faculty does arise. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the five-constituent existence, for the non-percipient beings, for the formless beings, and for those with eyes who, being reborn with equanimity, will attain final Nibbāna, for them passing away, for them there the faculty of joy will not arise and the eye faculty does not arise. (A) For whom, where the eye faculty does not arise, for him, there will the faculty of equanimity not arise? (B) Or again, for whom, where the faculty of equanimity will not arise, for them, there, does the faculty of sight not arise? For those in their last existence, arising in the five-constituent existence, and those who have the faculty of sight, who, having arisen with joy, will attain Nibbana, for them, as they are arising, for them, there, the faculty of equanimity will not arise, but not for them, there, does the faculty of sight not arise. For those attaining Nibbana in the five-constituent existence, for those in their last existence in the formless realms, for the non-percipient beings, and those who have the faculty of sight, who, having arisen with joy, will attain Nibbana, for them, as they are passing away, for them, there, the faculty of equanimity will not arise, and the faculty of sight does not arise. For whom, where, the faculty of sight does not arise, for them, there, will the faculty of faith (etc.), the faculty of wisdom (etc.), the faculty of mind not arise? For those passing away from the five-constituent existence, for those without the faculty of sight, for those arising in the sense-sphere existence, for those in the formless realms, for them, there, the faculty of sight does not arise, but not for them, there, will the faculty of mind not arise. For those attaining Nibbana in the five-constituent existence, for those in their last existence in the formless realms, for the non-percipient beings, for them, there, the faculty of sight does not arise, and the faculty of mind will not arise. Or again, for whom, where the faculty of mind will not arise, for them, there, does the faculty of sight not arise? For those in their last existence, arising in the five-constituent existence, for them, there, the faculty of mind will not arise, but not for them, there, does the faculty of sight not arise. For those attaining Nibbana in the five-constituent existence, for those in their last existence in the formless realms, for the non-percipient beings, for them, there, the faculty of mind will not arise, and the faculty of sight does not arise. (Rooted in the faculty of sight) 396. (A) For whom, where, the faculty of smell does not arise, for them, there, will the faculty of femininity not arise? For those passing away from the sense-sphere existence, for those without the faculty of smell, for those arising in the sense-sphere existence, for them, there, the faculty of smell does not arise. But for them there the female faculty will not arise. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the sense-sphere, for those in the form-sphere, for those in the formless-sphere, and those men who, having shown a few existences in this very state, will attain final Nibbāna, for them, when they are passing away, for them there the nose faculty does not arise, and the female faculty will not arise. (Kha) Or for whom, where the female faculty will not arise, for them there the nose faculty does not arise? For those of final existence, when being reborn in the sense-sphere, and those men who, having shown a few existences in this very state, will attain final Nibbāna, for them, when they are being reborn, for them there the female faculty will not arise, but for them there the nose faculty arises. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the sense-sphere, for those in the form-sphere, for those in the formless-sphere, and those men who, having shown a few existences in this very state, will attain final Nibbāna, for them, when they are passing away, for them there the female faculty will not arise, and the nose faculty does not arise. (Ka) For whom, where the nose faculty does not arise, for them there the male faculty will not arise? For those passing away from the sense-sphere, for those without a nose, when being reborn in the sense-sphere, for them there the nose faculty does not arise, but for them there the male faculty will arise. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the sense-sphere, for those in the form-sphere, for those in the formless-sphere, and those women who, having shown a few existences in this very state, will attain final Nibbāna, for them, when they are passing away, for them there the nose faculty does not arise, and the male faculty will not arise. (Kha) Or for whom, where the male faculty will not arise, for them there the nose faculty does not arise? For those of final existence, when being reborn in the sense-sphere, and those women who, having shown a few existences in this very state, will attain final Nibbāna, for them, when they are being reborn, for them there the male faculty will not arise, but for them there the nose faculty arises. Sense-sphere of those who attain final Nibbāna in the sense-sphere, of those in the form-sphere, of those in the formless-sphere, and of those women who, having shown themselves in a few existences in this very way, will attain final Nibbāna, as they pass away, the faculty of masculinity will not arise there for them, and the faculty of smell will not arise there for them. (Question) For whom, where the faculty of smell does not arise, will the faculty of life not arise there for them? For all those passing away, who are without smell, and for those being reborn, the faculty of smell does not arise there for them, but the faculty of life will not not arise there for them. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the sense-sphere, in the form-sphere, in the formless-sphere, who are in their last existence, the faculty of smell will not arise there for them, and the faculty of life will not arise there for them. (Question) Or for whom, where the faculty of life will not arise, does the faculty of smell not arise there for them? For those in their last existence, being reborn in the sense-sphere, the faculty of life will not arise there for them, but the faculty of smell does not not arise there for them.
