Excluding two persons endowed with the path and the eighth (person), the remaining persons, in all (situations), do not fully understand the underlying tendency of sensual desire, and the underlying tendency of aversion, and the underlying tendency of conceit, and the underlying tendency of views, and the underlying tendency of doubt, and the underlying tendency of ignorance. The eighth person, in the sense realm, in the three feelings, in the form realm, in the formless realm, he does not fully understand the latent tendency of ignorance there, nor of sensual desire, nor of aversion, nor of conceit, nor of desire for existence, but he *does* fully understand the latent tendency of wrong view there, and of doubt. he does not fully understand.
