for them, there, the mind-formation will cease, but for them, there, the speech-formation will not cease. For those who have attained the first jhāna, for those in the sense-sphere, for others in the form-sphere, in the formless-sphere: for them, there, both the mind-formation and the speech-formation will cease. (Gha) The contrary person 93. (Ka) For whom the bodily-formation will not cease, for him the speech-formation will not cease? At the moment of the arising of the last thought of those in the sense-sphere, for whom, immediately after which thought, the last thought of those in the sense-sphere will arise; for those who are last-existents in the form-sphere, in the formless-sphere; and those who, having arisen in the form-sphere or formless-sphere, will attain final Nibbāna; for them, at the moment of passing away: for them, the bodily-formation will not cease, but for them, the speech-formation will not cease. At the moment of the dissolution of the last thought with initial and sustained application, for those endowed with the last thought without initial and sustained application, for whom, immediately after which thought, the last thought without initial and sustained application will arise: for them, both the bodily-formation and the speech-formation will not cease. (Kha) Or again, for whom... (etc.)...? Yes. (Ka) For whom the bodily-formation will not cease, for him the mind-formation will not cease? At the moment of the arising of the last thought of those in the sense-sphere, for whom, immediately after which thought, the last thought of those in the sense-sphere will arise; for those who are last-existents in the form-sphere, in the formless-sphere; and those who, having arisen in the form-sphere or formless-sphere, will attain final Nibbāna; for them, at the moment of passing away: for them, the bodily-formation will not cease, but for them, the mind-formation will not cease. (Ka) To whom the verbal formation will not cease, to them the mental formation will not cease? At the moment of arising of the last thought without initial application and sustained application, to whom immediately after that thought, the last thought without initial application and sustained application will arise, to them the verbal formation will not cease, but to them the mental formation will not cease. At the moment of dissolution of the last thought, to them the verbal formation will not cease, and the mental formation will not cease. (Kha) Or to whom, again… (as before)…? Yes. (Ṅa) The converse sphere 95. Where the bodily formation will not cease… (as before)… (Ca) The converse individuals and spheres 96. (Kha) Or to whom, again, where the verbal formation will not cease, to them, there the bodily formation will not cease? To those who have attained the second absorption, the third absorption, to them, there the verbal formation will not cease, but to them, there the bodily formation will not cease. At the moment of dissolution of the last thought with initial application and sustained application, to those endowed with the last thought without initial application and sustained application, to whom immediately after that thought, the last thought without initial application and sustained application will arise, to those who have attained the fourth absorption, to non-percipient beings, For them there the verbal formation will not cease and the bodily formation will not cease. (A) For whom where the bodily formation will not cease, for him there will the mental formation not cease? At the moment of arising of the last thought of sense-sphere beings, after which thought the last thought of sense-sphere beings will arise, for those who have attained the fourth jhāna, for form-sphere beings, for formless-sphere beings, for them there the bodily formation will not cease, but not for them there the mental formation will not cease. At the moment of dissolution of the last thought, for non-percipient beings, for them there the bodily formation will not cease and the mental formation will not cease.
