For those with a nose, while passing away, for them there the form-base ceased and the nose-base ceases. (A) For whom, where the nose-base ceases, Does his mind-base cease there? Yes. (Kha) Or, for whom, or where, the mind-base ceased, does the nose-base cease there? For those being reborn in the sense-sphere, who have no nose, for those passing away from the sense-sphere, for those in the form-sphere, for those in the formless-sphere, for them, the mind-base ceased there, but for them, the nose-base does not cease there. For those passing away who have a nose, for them, the mind-base ceased there, and the nose-base ceases there. (Ka) For whom, or where, the nose-base ceases, did the phenomena-base cease there? Yes.
