by any god or Māra, by Brahmā or by anyone in the world – it is the Wheel of Dhamma. The faculty of faith is Dhamma. He sets that Dhamma rolling – the Wheel of Dhamma. Nibbāna, immersed in the deathless, is Dhamma in the sense of its ultimate end. He sets that Dhamma rolling – the Wheel of Dhamma. "This base of spiritual power, endowed with effort, concentration, and exertion, is such" – regarding teachings unheard before, the eye arose. Light arose. "And indeed, this base of spiritual power, endowed with effort, concentration, and exertion, should be developed." "It has been developed." Regarding teachings unheard before, the eye arose. Light arose. "The eye arose" – in what sense? "Light arose" – in what sense? "The eye arose" – in the sense of seeing. "Light arose" – in the sense of illumination. The eye is Dhamma, seeing is the meaning. Light is Dhamma, illumination is the meaning. These five dhammas, five meanings, have effort as their basis, have the bases of spiritual power as their basis. Have consciousness as their basis, have the bases of spiritual power as their basis. Have investigation as their basis, have the bases of spiritual power as their basis. They are the objects of the bases of spiritual power, the range of the bases of spiritual power, included in the bases of spiritual power, comprised within the bases of spiritual power, arisen in the bases of spiritual power, established in the bases of spiritual power, founded in the bases of spiritual power. "The Wheel of Dhamma" – in what sense is it the Wheel of Dhamma? "It sets the Dhamma rolling and it is a wheel" – therefore, the Wheel of Dhamma. And it is a wheel... It turns the Dhamma, therefore, the Dhamma-wheel. It turns by the Dhamma, therefore, the Dhamma-wheel. It turns by the practice of Dhamma, therefore, the Dhamma-wheel. Standing in the Dhamma, it turns, therefore, the Dhamma-wheel. Established in the Dhamma, it turns, therefore, the Dhamma-wheel... Nibbāna, immersed in the Deathless, is Dhamma in the sense of its ultimate goal. It turns that Dhamma, therefore, the Dhamma-wheel. The discourse on the Dhamma-wheel is concluded. 8.
