Having seen, having attained – one attained to view. Believing, one is released – thus, faith-released. Jhana-contact first one touches, afterwards cessation, Nibbana, one realizes – thus, a body-witness. "Formations are suffering, cessation is happiness" – this is known, seen, understood, realized, touched by wisdom – thus, one attained to view. And this person who is faith-released, and this one who is a body-witness, and this one who is attained to view – it may be that these three persons are faith-released, and body-witnesses, and attained to view, by way of the object, by way of explanation. And how might that be? When attending to impermanence, the faculty of faith becomes dominant. Because the faculty of faith is dominant, one is faith-released. When attending to suffering, the faculty of faith becomes dominant. Because the faculty of faith is dominant, one is faith-released. When attending to non-self, the faculty of faith becomes dominant. Because the faculty of faith is dominant, one is faith-released. Thus, these three persons are faith-released by way of the faculty of faith. When attending to suffering, the faculty of concentration becomes dominant. Because the faculty of concentration is dominant, one is a body-witness. When attending to non-self, the faculty of concentration becomes dominant. Because the faculty of concentration is dominant, one is a body-witness. When attending to impermanence, the faculty of concentration becomes dominant. Because the faculty of concentration is dominant, one is a body-witness. Thus, these three persons are body-witnesses by way of the faculty of concentration. When attending to non-self, the faculty of wisdom becomes dominant.
