251 《Ka-gyé Deshek Düpai Lejang Trakthung Rolwai Gegyang Zhukso》 (The Combined Activity Manual of the Eight Herukas, the Laughing Roar of the Blood-Drinking Dance) 42-6-1 ༄༅། །《Ka-gyé Deshek Düpai Lejang Trakthung Rolwai Gegyang Zhukso》 (The Combined Activity Manual of the Eight Herukas, the Laughing Roar of the Blood-Drinking Dance) ༄༅། །《Ka-gyé Deshek Düpai Lejang Trakthung Rolwai Gegyang Zhukso》 (The Combined Activity Manual of the Eight Herukas, the Laughing Roar of the Blood-Drinking Dance) namaḥ śānta krodhānāṃ deva samājasya cakrāya (Homage to the mandala of the peaceful and wrathful deities!) The Dharmakaya, from the very beginning, was never created, the essence of pure awareness. In the unobstructed, pure expanse of space, the peaceful and wrathful mandalas are perfectly complete. Dancing illusions that tame beings as needed, the Eight Herukas, a gathering of all Sugatas. The lord of a hundred families, who gathers and tames, Padma Thötreng (Padmasambhava with a garland of skulls) is our eternal refuge. The great and supreme nectar of empowerment descends, Nyak Ben and the master. You contemplate the difficult-to-tame beings, the conduct of a spiritual friend. Zurchen Chöying Rangdröl (Zurchen, the Great One, Self-Liberated in the Dharmadhatu), the all-knowing one. May the root guru reside in the lotus heart. Conscientious yogis, do not be deceived by the herd of pigs. Do not wander aimlessly in the forest of ignorance like them. The treasure of Nyangrel, the Dharma king and sovereign. Accumulate merit through listening, contemplating, and meditating. This is necessary for those who practice the great ritual, reciting it at all times, and for the dance of the wrathful deities. This activity manual comes from a treasure, so as not to misunderstand its meaning. Therefore, use concise language as an ornament for the necks of the wise. Although my wisdom is shallow, I have the lineage. Therefore, I briefly record the words of the lineage masters to answer questions. I pray to the thirty deities of Barmadé, the treasure protectors, etc. Grant joy to the ocean of oath-bound protectors. This is the meaning of the medium-length activity manual, divided into preliminary, main, and concluding parts. Preliminary: refuge, bodhicitta, accumulation of merit, vajra recitation, Boundary, mudra, symbolic mudra, confession, vows. Descent 42-6-2 The first step in the process of empowerment is taking refuge: I and all sentient beings equal to the extent of space, From now until we attain the state of Kuntuzangpo (Samantabhadra), Take refuge in the Buddhas, the lineage holders of the mind transmission, The lineage of signs, the oral transmission, the transmission of aspiration and empowerment. The entrusted seal, prophecy, activity, and treasure lineages. And the lineages of yellow scrolls and words. All the real and lineage gurus, Take refuge, taking blessings as the root. The forty-two peaceful deities, Yama, the great powerful one, And Yangdak, the great supreme one, Phurba, the king of manifest enlightenment. The peaceful and wrathful assembly of deities who subdue pride and have power, Take refuge, taking accomplishment as the root. All the heroes and dakinis of the three places, And Barmachémo, the lords of the proud ones, etc. The protectors, treasure lords, and ocean of oath-bound ones, Take refuge, taking the removal of obstacles as the root. In short, protect --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All you protectors! Are the inherent power of self-arisen awareness. From the very state of recognizing the natural state, I take refuge in the Three Jewels, the root of all. Second, generating Bodhicitta for the benefit of others: Primordially, Dharmakaya is self-awareness, Samantabhadra. Those beings who wander in Samsara, not recognizing their own nature, Are like a lame prince being enthroned. To introduce them to their own nature, I generate Bodhicitta. Third, increasing the great accumulation of merit: Visualizing myself as the glorious one with one face and two arms. From the 'Hum' at the heart, light radiates, Inviting the Guru and the deities of the Eight Sadhana Sections, To come here and sit on the lotus and moon seat. Vajra Master, perfectly enlightened Buddha! I prostrate to you who exist in the three times. You are the field of manifestation of the Three Jewels, I take refuge in you with non-dual faith. Please accept these pure offerings, Manifested through actual and imagined means. Please forgive all my misdeeds, Which obstruct the flow of accomplishments. I rejoice in the pure Dharma of the ten directions and the three circles, And in the unattached conduct. The four pure and stainless boundaries, I generate the perfect Bodhicitta. I offer the three pure bodies, To the Sugata, the powerful one, and all sentient beings. May all the actions accumulated through countless lifetimes, Be gathered and dedicated to the great Bodhi. May all sentient beings have happiness! May they be free from all suffering! May they never be separated from bliss! May they realize the equality of all Dharmas! Fourth, purification, meditating and reciting Vajrasattva: Myself remaining in the ordinary state, on the crown of my head, On a lotus and moon seat, from a white 'Hum' arises, Vajrasattva in union with his consort. Holding a vajra and bell, adorned with precious bone ornaments, Wearing silk garments, beautiful with the attire of the Sambhogakaya. On the moon disc at his heart, there is a white 'Hum' surrounded by the hundred-syllable mantra. From that, nectar descends like a string of pearls, Descending from the point of union, through the central channel, Flowing out from the soles of the feet, all the previously accumulated, Sins, downfalls, diseases, demonic influences, and all faults, Are transformed into the form of soot, pus, blood, and insects, Completely washed away, becoming as clear as crystal. After reciting the hundred-syllable mantra of Heruka as much as possible, I beseech you, protector, to purify all my obscurations, With fervent longing, urging your compassion. The father and mother dissolve into light, merging from the crown of my head, Meditating in the indivisible essence. Fifth, setting boundaries, generating pride in the preliminary practice. The first of the three: command, main part, and actual pointing out: Purified by स्वाभाव (Tibetan: སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝས་, Devanagari: स्वभाव, Romanized Sanskrit: svabhāva, Literal meaning: self-nature). From emptiness, on the lotus and moon, my own mind transforms into a blue 'Hum'. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
