I prostrate to the one who is revered a hundred million times! The heart-son of Vajradhara (the Diamond Holder), the venerable Tilopa. In Pulahari Monastery, through the power of the development stage practice, a Dakini prophesied: 'Search for Tilopa in the east, he is like a jewel on the crown of Oddiyana, the true manifestation of Tilopa.' He attended upon his guru for twelve years, undergoing twelve hardships. Through the guru's blessings, he experienced the spontaneous arising of great bliss. He perfected all ascetic practices, I prostrate to the feet of glorious Naropa. Born at the border of Mon and Tibet, disregarding his own life, he sought the supreme Dharma in India, meeting many accomplished gurus. Mastering the four classes of tantra, he received the blessings of glorious Naropa, realizing all phenomena as illusory. I prostrate to the feet of the venerable Marpa. Born at the border of Mangyul, he sought the supreme Dharma in central Nepal, before the sacred site of Lhodrak, he relied on the feet of the venerable Marpa. He heard the profound Mother Tantra's three cycles of teachings, and received the instructions on the Six Dharmas of Naropa. Traveling between Nepal and Tibet, in Drakmar Potho Monastery, he endured trials of life and diligence, the heroic Dakinis bestowed their blessings, and he attained supreme and common accomplishments. Manifesting various emanations, he guided fortunate beings to the path of liberation, I prostrate to the feet of the venerable Milarepa. He abandoned his kingdom like spitting out phlegm, studied the five sciences, practiced Chakrasamvara, and attained the Dharmakaya of ascetic conduct.
