The second general meaning is about the sharp pains of diseases and demons, which is divided into three parts: the fever that cuts off diseases, the cutting off of demons, and the teachings on the sharp pains of inverted oppression. First, cutting off diseases: When going to a place with a strong infectious disease, do not be shy, do not be afraid or hesitant, but go together. Separate your body and mind, and smell that disease even more strongly. Inhale through the nostrils, swallow it into the abdomen, so that all diseases rise up along the central channel. Visualize that everything becomes empty and without self-nature, and do not be afraid. In the thirteen oral instructions, it says: Especially for the symptoms of fever, any part of the upper body, the kind that produces sharp pains, is like an arrow in the back. Heavy breathing, coughing up black phlegm. For this, one should visualize as follows: Generate bodhicitta, take refuge, body offering, countless hundreds of times or one year, or twenty-one times. After that, in the place of sharp pain or any pain, the worldly gods and demons and inauspicious things, with a small meteorite iron hammer in hand, pierce with words, and treat the disease with blood. Visualize that terrifying demon sucking up all the blood and disease. Do this as much as possible. Furthermore, in front of oneself, at night, focus awareness on matter. If awareness does not contract inward, visualize radiating outward, encircling the four continents. In between, visualize emptiness, without elaboration, do not be distracted, keep awareness clear. No matter how the sharp pain stings, through this visualization, it will be healed. This is the teaching on curing fever. In between, with a water wheel, from any part of the upper body, focus on coldness and trembling, focus on visualization and practice it, relying on warm foods such as meat and alcohol, one can destroy the kinds of fever. The oral transmission for eliminating cold diseases is: Pain in the lower body is cold. The intestines churn, the kidneys and waist hurt, swelling and churning, and honey.

The lamp of speech that cures wind diseases is, the head and limbs ache, the body trembles and sways, in between, the whole body also, shaking and twitching, etc., not wanting to walk, not liking food. Now is the method of curing wind diseases, for one's own body and enjoyment, one should not be attached and greedy, generating bodhicitta, taking refuge, offering the body, etc., do it countless times as before. Let awareness relax in its own place. With an unpleasant and malicious form, the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, after being taken underground, hundreds or thousands of terrible black pigs, countless inconceivable ones, meditate on eating meat and drinking blood. Consciousness does not scatter outwards, the sense gates are peaceful and subdued in quiescence, the nature of mind is unadorned and relaxed in its own place.
