In a suitable place, please the lama and sit upright with the body posture on top of a high mountain. First, slowly rotate the head. Also, first move the body slowly. Then, do it quickly three times, three times, four times, four times. After that, vigorously rotate the head and so on. After a moment, the external appearances will be red, bright red; yellow, bright yellow; blue, dark blue; black, deep black; and then gray, bright gray will appear. By doing this for a long time, the appearances of the external earth, stones, mountains, and rocks will not be established as any entity. At this time, the experience of seeing appearances as clear light, with the self-liberation of vision, will not arise and is impossible. At this time, one should rely on foods that are beneficial for the wind element. Focusing the mind on the letter རཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: रं, Romanized Sanskrit: raṃ, literal Chinese meaning: rang) at the navel is the key. The conditions for one person are complete. Again, holding the mind by chasing away conceptual thoughts with the syllable ཧཱུྃ: Then, as before, please the lama and relax the body, speech, and mind in a secluded place. Verbally utter the syllable ཧཱུྃ in a long, drawn-out tone, mixing the wind element with the mind is the key. Again, continuously project the syllable ཧཱུྃ into the space, gather it back, enter it into the body, and penetrate through the earth, stones, mountains, rocks, and so on, without interruption, so that the mind is seized and there will be no mental wandering anywhere. The experience of thoughts blazing in the nature of reality will not arise and is impossible. Now, for the instruction on how fortunate ones enter the path: As before, follow the sequence of pleasing the lama and so on, and sit comfortably on your own seat, gradually focusing the mind on emptiness: First, analyze the body into many parts. Even the single head has many names: eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and so on, appearing immeasurably. By examining the meaning of the names, one knows that the organs of the head cannot be established. Then, even when analyzing the entire body, no entity is found. Then, in the same way, when searching for all external objects with the duality of name and entity, they are not found either. Thus, by understanding that all things labeled with names are empty, the objects will also transform and become empty. In this way, the nature of reality will not be liberated into emptiness, which is impossible. After that, place awareness into whatever is seen and remembered by the eyes, and by focusing the mind on that, making it instantly disappear into emptiness, after a while, whatever is looked at will go away emptily. By meditating in this way for a long time

All appearances are like reflections in a mirror, empty and intangible. Among them, first is appearance, second is emptiness, and third is that neither appearance nor emptiness is established. The summary of these is that during the four meditations based on correct reliance, it is crucial to inject consciousness into the ears and not lose the expression of language. During the meditation based on the body, which is the time of Asura's contention, it is key not to stop the movement of the body. During the other two meditations of the mind, it is key that the focus of the mind is not mistaken and not distracted. If we name it, it is called the practice of combining day and night. This is the meditation of practicing without any object of support. The meditation of the Bodhisattva abiding on the ground is, from seeing the truth of the first ground, there are twelve hundred qualities, the second ground has twenty-four, and so on, the ten grounds are the extent of constant samadhi. The intention of the Sugata is, transcending time, the naturally abiding state without fabrication, as it is immutable, is the intention of the Buddhas. Therefore, the key is to let go like the ocean, no matter what you meditate on, the eyes are not confused, and keeping it as it is is the key. There are five ways to continuously practice the view: the view cuts off the city, the instructions are like a mountain, the intention is completely liberated from the three realms, the afflictions are purified, and the person is exhausted. The first has three: for external Dharma practitioners, look with the Vajra eye, the appearance of external Dharma, without self-nature, like an image or a dream, seeing that delusion has no real establishment, so there is no turning back in the three realms, and the mind is at ease. For the differences of internal Dharma practitioners, in the way of realization, look at the self-nature with the eye of wisdom, then all the appearances of conventional truth are illusory without self-nature, seeing that delusion is self-purified without real establishment, so wisdom has no habitual tendencies, and the mind is at ease. With the eyes of a secret child, stare at complete purity, and look without separating from the three key points, then the indivisibility of space and wisdom manifests, and the mind is at ease. Among them, the superior diligent one attains Buddhahood in this life without impure appearances, the intermediate one meets and practices a part, and then practices all.
